We want you to know about a wonderful workshop coming March 3-5 with Hal Bennett. Everyone who was in the previous class thoroughly enjoyed it, and surprised themselves with the carving they made. It is a powerful and profound experience which you will carry with you.

In this workshop you’ll explore ways that ritual and craft can help you develop deeper and more personal connections with Mother Earth. You’ll discover sacred teachings of six spirit animals and what they reveal about your own personal and spiritual development. You’ll identify inherent strengths, the meaning of present changes, and challenges that will ultimately bring greater meaning into your life.

At the center of this experience, you’ll be envisioning and carving—from stone—a small figure of your personal power animal. This spiritual icon, or fetish, will become a powerful reference point and guide for your further work, possibly for the rest of your life. Don’t worry, No artistic or carving experience necessary. You’ll get plenty of help from Hal and John Curry, a well known Sonoma artist and owner of Starwae.

Hal was guided to this spiritual work in 1953, after contracting a life-threatening illness from an animal he had killed. During a coma and near-death experience, followed by a period of blindness, he received visions which led him to shamanism and the universal codes embedded in spirit animals. Hal’s bestselling books include:
