The Day After

Moon in Gemini goes Void @ 3:15 a.m. Enters Cancer @ 11:46 a.m.

Mercury in Scorpio square Neptune in Aquarius @ 12:24 a.m.
Moon in Gemini sextile Saturn in Leo @ 1:55 a.m.
Moon in Gemini oppose Pluto in Sagittarius @ 3:15 a.m.
Mars in Scorpio trine Uranus in Pisces @ 8:23 a.m.
Sun in Scorpio conjunct Mercury in Scorpio @ 1:31 p.m.

All of my Negative Nellie for naught—yippeeeeeeee—it is a wonderful (and almost forgotten) thing to feel good after an election!  The last two elections have  driven me to excess starch consumption and I DO hope this will re-balance my worn out metabolism!

It’s so heartening to feel hopeful and grateful in a way that I haven’t in years… still, it IS politics and we ARE in the “Kali Yuga”—the Vedic Age of Darkness and Separation, and many of the ‘bills’ that passed in the middle of the country were about people’s prejudices against each other’s life styles, (seven out of eight states wasted their time and resources to make certain that people who love each other can’t get married,(Gay marriage) wow, wadda victory, eh?) and here in California, we once again prove that the oil companies are Supreme!  Prop 87 bit the dust, and along with it a chance to REALLY change our dependency on oil (the threat of ‘too many words’ in a bill was just too much for everyone, I guess…besides, money will buy you anything, and let’s face it—oil companies have endless amounts of it)  Still, stem cell research passed in Missouri, so maybe there’s hope for us yet.

Anyway, I got this yesterday from my baby bro in Texas!  This is a wonderful video of Mercury (mind, consciousness) traveling in front of the Sun (ego, empirical domination)… http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/11/06/mercury.passing.ap/index.html do you think that’s how we won in spite of the voting machines?  (Bringing consciousness to light) Who knows?  Now the hard part—to get out there and bring fairness back into politics, and power to the people.  Am I asking too much?

Moon in Gemini

Moon in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces @ 2:54 a.m.
Mercury in Scorpio conjunct Venus in Scorpio @ 8:51 a.m.
Moon in Gemini trine Neptune in Aquarius @ 1:22 p.m.

Yesterday and the day before I tried to write a Dujour about the election, but I was so depressed I couldn’t do it.  I was trying to be upbeat and spiritual, but the truth was, I was just nervous; really, really nervous.

It was because as I looked at the aspects, I saw that the Moon would be in Gemini for the election, and every disastrous event we have experienced since GW has been King has occurred under this moon.  9-11, Katrina, Wilma, Rita…so noting that the elections tomorrow will be under these same aspects, I went into chest clutching fear.

Grasshoppers, you recall from our previous ‘talks’ that the in the USA’s birth chart (July 4, 1776) Mars is in Gemini at 26 degrees in the 7th house, the House of Partnerships. The house of partnerships in this chart represents the partnership between The People and The Government (or lack of it) and the Moon crossing Mars can be an aspect of ‘abuse’, as it certainly has been in the past.

Anyway, along with the moon thing, there are five planets in Scorpio all squaring Neptune, the planet of illusions and delusions, making the perfect ‘undercover climate’ for those voting machines.  Also a popular NeoCon favorite, Mercury is retrograde.(How do they always seem to get this aspect?  Amazing!)  It’s all lined up, a slam-dunk for them with the machines and all, except for one thing—lots of people are AWAKE now!!!

Been snoozing, and we’ve been loosin’ –our lives as well as our money and our soul!  Now that we’re awake, what are we going to do about the shenanigans of the administration?  It’s Tuesday morning and on Google News we find that 10 out of 14 machines in Florida are not working and people are being sent home (yawn) right, like we couldn’t see THAT coming, n’est pas?

LETS ALL FLY TO FLORIDA AND STORM THE CASTLE!!!

Hey—wouldn’t it be fun to all hang out together in Florida?

Anyway, I feel oddly better today.  When I was depressed, I did what I always do—I babble on to Wally.  He, then, did what he always does:  He spins it a different way!

He said, “Well, could it mean that (Moon in Gemini five planets in Scorpio square Neptune and Saturn) is a shake-up to the status quo?  A Coup could go either way!  Maybe SOME of the machines will work—enough to get Democracy back!  Pray, hope and show up!  That's my (smart) man!

While looking through my catalog and getting ready to go to the local fire station and mark my ballot, I thought I might put my opinions up on site—there’s a couple of things you might consider as you vote.

I was listening to a radio commercial and a candidate named Laura Wells, a Green candidate for State Controller, was talking about changing the way elections are set up.

She had some great things to say, so why not step out of the slot and vote for her—she talked about trying to set the vote up the way that they vote in other countries.  Not limited to two parties, there are HUGE diversities that can be considered if you are not afraid to ‘loose’ your vote.  How it works is, you vote for your (true) favorite, but you put your choices (in order) and if your candidate does not win, they go to your next choice!  Can’t loose!  This is a GREAT system.  Under this system, a real person could win, not a previously purchased corporate robot!  Wow—what if Congress & the Senate was made up of people, not corporate robotypes?  That would be amazing.

Anyway, with that thought, Proposition 89 is a BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the ONLY way fair elections could happen!  We give a few dollars and we GET representation!!!!!  VOTE YES!  VOTE YES! VOTE YES!!!!

ALSO Vote YES on 87!!! California is one of only four states that does not tax the gas companies!  They make it sound so scary, but we all ready have higher gas prices that anywhere in the country (a punishment from GW) but 87 would actually SAVE us!  Gas companies make a 60% profit from drilling in California.  If we tax them, it is 4% on their 60—they STILL make a 56% profit.  If they try to punish us, we’ll STORM THE CASTLE! (I’m really getting into this—got my torch right here, and you should see me in my storm boots)

Anyway, one more is this guy named Forrest Hill for Secretary of State.  I just like his commercial.  AND he is NOT a corporate guy, AND he’s Green.  Why NOT elect him?  How amazing would THAT be?

Anyway, let’s all feel optimistic (if we can) and go out and VISUALIZE that our vote WILL be counted!  It COULD happen!

Power to the People!

ps...Phil Angelides has very little (actually, no) charisma but he is a fair man and skilled administrator.  Arnold Schwarzenegger is a really GOOD actor.  He is also a man that tried to off nurses, educators, police and fire men, gut the unions, and nix their pensions.  We must not forget this.  THINK--don't be seduced by his personna--he is a CORPORATE SERVING REPUBLICAN above all things, not Ghandi.(as he would have you believe)

Moon in Aries

Sun in Scorpio trine Uranus in Pisces @ 4:02 a.m.
Moon in Aries sextile Neptune in Aquarius @ 11:17 a.m.
Moon in Aries trine Saturn in Leo @ 10:41 p.m.

Hey Guys—you know what we haven’t had since I’ve been back to Dujour?  We haven’t had a political rant in weeks!  HolyOversight!  Well, if there ever was a time for it, it would be now.

I have been writing and deleting for days now (Three days to be exact, I had almost forgotten about that part of the process) but I can’t speak about health care (actually NO health care) working for $5.15 hr, global warming and the Iraq War and sound ‘fair and impartial’, it always comes out pure ‘blame and judgment’, so it’s been delete, delete, delete.  And then my time was up.

….but I just can't let it go, so blame and judgment notwithstanding......

Did you see the HBO special last night about Diebold?  Well, I only caught the last 15 minutes, Wally watched the whole thing—I just didn’t have it in me (besides, Grey’s Anatomy was on) I knew it would just upset me. The thing is,  I had all ready watched a different presentation the night before about the voting machines. It’s in the collective consciousness now, it means it’s time we pay attention.

This show reminded us that in Ohio, that ‘oh-so-controversial’ state of last election, Bush ‘won’ by 180,000 votes.  I learned from this show however, that to get that number of votes, it would take just 6 votes in each prescient to be ‘flipped’ (reversing Kerry to Bush) for Bush to get his numbers!!!! And you DO remember that this is paperless, traceless, human less voting, n’est pas?  Diebold—a self declared diehard republican, who wrote a letter before the 2004 election where he said that he ‘guaranteed’ the election for George Bush! (And in case you think I’m exaggerating, another example they gave on the show was about a prescient that turned in 2500-ish votes for Bush, but there were only 649 voters! Ha!)

So what’s the deal with this?  What’s a regular voting American Citizen to do?  I mean, Mercury and Neptune are retrograde—and Bush and Rove are still smiling, confident that they will prevail! (When Rove smiles, children and puppy’s die…burrr)

So I have a plan! Here’s what we’re gonna do! (er, if you want to…)

We’re gonna SHOW UP, WEAR BLUE (if it is blue that you stand for) and be so VISABLE that it will be hard for BUSH/ROVE to steal this election!  BUT, more importantly than that (not really, that’s the most important thing—GO VOTE) when we DO vote, let’s all Visualize—fairness, accuracy and balance. Visualize your vote being accurately counted!  SEE it, KNOW it.  According to Heisenberg's theory of physics, matter is altared by perception.  Let's visualize bending those Diebold 'gears' and MAKE our Vote count!   What’s wrong with a government that’s FOR the people, BY the people and OF the people?  What’s wrong with health care and fair and respectful salaries and the gap between the Rolex wearing CEO’s and the workers returning to pre-Regan era (back to 40% more than the workers, rather than the over 400% that it has risen to)  Uranus in Pisces—the last time it was here, we had Prohibition—and the REVERSAL of prohibition!!!!!!  We do not need to be enslaved by our government—we need our government to be a fair representation of our needs, it’s supposed to BE US!  Roads, health care, ‘protection’ (a FEMA plan that works, perhaps?) and the sharing of resources to make the necessities of life available to all.

Power To The People!

Put a frown on Bush and Rove, and save the world.

Ps…er…

Whew!  Those rants take it outta me.  If you all want a recovery from this tirade, Pam Burns-Claire is back from Italy and writes of a sweet, sensual place on earth—I just loved ‘going there’ with her, I highly recommend it! http://cardinalstarsystems.com/special/spirit.html

Void Moon in Aquarius enters Pisces @ 6:11 a.m.

All Hallows Eve

Moon in Pisces trine Mars in Scorpio @ 3:37 p.m.
Moon in Pisces trine Sun in Scorpio @ 8:38 p.m.
Moon in Pisces trine Venus in Scorpio @ 10:41 p.m.

Boo!

Yes, it’s that time again—All Hollow’s Eve, also known as Halloween, originally known as Sowain.

Sowain is the Holy New Year’s celebration in the Pagan religion, the beginning of the new year.  We all know that tonight we celebrate "with the dead" and that is because (it is said) that at this time, the veils between the worlds are the thinnest they will be all year.  It makes it much easier for the dead to get here to the party.  Death has always been the way to bring appreciation to the value of life.  That is why in the Pagan tradition, today we honor the ‘circle of life’.

Here at my home, we traditionally create an altar with pictures of our dearly departed.  Sadly but naturally, the altar gets bigger as the years roll by, each year picking up a picture or two of those who have, ‘gone on ahead’.  I found these cool electric tea lights at Safeway to put all around the photos, they last a long time and will not burn the house down, they light up the altar in a spooky but very soft way.  My heart tugs when I see the pictures of the young ones whose photos remind me that they left far too early from this red brick road of life, but maybe they are having a great adventure where they are?  We can’t assume this is the best game in town—how do WE know? (But I don’t want to find out too early myself, just in case it is)  Still, the rules of the game are that no matter who you are, some day you’ll wind up on that altar.  That’s what this holiday (Holy Day) is all about—the very essence of life on earth—that everything is about Time…our ultimate treasure and the source of true power (if you have enough Time, you can do anything.)

For excitement with our day today, Great Spirit tossed the Moon into Pisces, a mysterious, deep and theatrical sign.  Perfect—it will give you that extra bling to go along with that costume!

In this theme of sensuality and theatrics, our Luna will be traveling in trine to three planets in Scorpio—The Sun, Venus and Mars.  If you are out-a-partyin’ (on a Tuesday?) there is a romantic sweetness in the air.  You might want to ‘dress pretty’ and just let yourself enjoy the wonderful social ness in the air.  Of course, there IS an ongoing square from Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter, but so what?  That’s just always THERE these days (like the space ship on Independence Day—it’s just sitting there) and, of course, if you stay out too long, you WILL run into the Uranus/Moon conjunction just after Midnight. (That’s what you get for staying out past Midnight on a Tuesday!) You know the rules of the fairy tale—you’ve got to be in by midnight, or ……………………………………..

(Just come home on time, don’t make me tell you!)

Have Fun…Drive Safely

Moon in Aquarius sextile Pluto in Sagittarius @ 9:31 p.m.

What could possibly be more Neptune retrograde than Daylight Savings Time?

It says 9:00 but it feels like 10:00—this is when we can no longer trust our own, ‘inner clock’ and for a brief period of time, we are in Bizzaro World.  Or is that just me?

I had a really Neptune day yesterday, followed by a truly Neptune night.  All day I ate and read and watched TV (this is the paradise part of Neptune) and all night I had truly strange dreams, populated by people I have unresolved issues with (is Neptune actually an undercover ‘shrink’?)  Anyway I feel a bit woozy…but it could be that flu that the boys had all day yesterday.  Neptune again…plays havoc with those body fluids.

Neptune aside (but it probably won’t stay aside…I’m sure we’ll hear a lot more from this aspect in the next week—elections and all!) I received a request to ‘splain a bit more about Mercury Retrograde.

Mai Certain mont!

Every planet save the Sun and the Moon will retrograde at least once a year—and Mercury will do it about three times a year.  It has to do with ‘turning around on a curve’ on the elliptical plane, and it brings our attention to the ‘inner worlds’ rather that all of our energies constantly going ‘out’.  A popular example is the one we are into (this last week) around here-- getting sick--- since flu’s and colds make you ‘take to yourself’ and isolate, and you don’t have the energy to start things or care about connecting…you just want to introspect and bring your inner world into order. to "get better".  So, this aspect helps us--a rescue and check point, as it were. We all know that our machines (cars, phones, things that connect us to each other) are also under jeopardy with this aspect--those planets want us IN, not OUT, and they will do whatever it takes to give us a break from our endless overextention!

Do the planets actually CARE about our projects or state of mind?  Who knows?  If the planets are us (which I believe they are—they orbit inside our very beings, much like our circulatory system) then they DO care.  Hum…now THAT was a Neptune reverie if I ever spoke one….(aka fuzzy, mystical and illogical)

Anyway, today is a busy day with the Moon in a fixed sign (Aquarius) squaring, conjuncting and opposing all sorts of celestial companions, with one little sextile to support it.  So what DOES that mean?  Sounds challenging--is it?  Well, only if you fight it!  Actually, …it might be a bit difficult to ‘get things done’ but if you don’t mind starting and stopping and wandering around somewhat spaced out, but you just keep going...when you wake up tomorrow you might be amazed at what you created today!

And maybe tomorrow I’ll be able to speak in a language other than "tongues" ….because today I am BEING Mercury and Neptune retrograde!  Your Live is Your Art--paint on!

Moon in Capricorn goes Void @ 6:30 p.m.

Mercury Stationary Retrograde @ 12:16 p.m.
Moon in Capricorn sextile Jupiter in Scorpio @ 5:00 p.m.
Moon in Capricorn sextile Mercury in Scorpio @ 6:30 p.m.

Can you believe it?  We’re talking CLASSIC Mercury retrograde!

I have been trying and trying to get a Dujour up and on line for days now, but my mornings have been continually confiscated by fate, so in spite of my great efforts, no luck and no Dujour.  Then, this morning I managed to get up early, (and it’s too early for anyone to be around, call or knock on the door) so I put up the Daily Stars…and guess what?  As I look at what is (and has been happening) to The Sky since I last Dujoured--I find that it is today that our little bumble bee planet Mercury will do its thrice annual ‘moonwalk’ back along the elliptical plane and “Go retrograde”! (err. today at high noon—12:16 p.m. to be exact!) Me coming ‘back to where I started’ is right on schedule! (I do so hate to be so predictable)

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is about as redundant as you can get!  Going back and in, into a back and in place, is so far back it might be forward  (Sailing East to get West, as it were)

It will be Interesting Times out here on the outer Illusionary Plane of Terra Firma, what with elections and all sorts of Scorpionic shenanigans happening.

Scorpio, a water sign, might now be the official sign of new sport inspired by VP Cheney: Waterboarding!  Perfect!  Of course Scorpio ‘ruling’ espionage, we will no doubt be treated to sophisticated software sleight-of-hand, as our voting machines are “fixed” by Diebolt to “Deliver the vote to you, Mr. President” (actual quote) backed up by the recent headlines:  “Bush and Rove confident of Republican Win” (in spite of poll after poll saying otherwise) and of course, the continued headlines “October Death Toll reaches” ….increasing amounts of massive new numbers, and the usual assortment of sex—getting tired of the recent sex scandals, but they are still in the news, not to mention Rove trying to make his usual big deal of isolating and torturing Gay people for their travesty against humanity—their desire to have a home.  Sigh.  Good old Scorpio—the ruler of sex, death, dreams and taxes—it’s a really sign a Bush Republican can sink their teeth into, isn’t it?

Anyway, speaking of ‘going back’, I’m baaaack…and as any good ex-Catholic would, I arrive in full confession:  My project didn’t birth—it’s now officially aborted! (Am I allowed to say Catholic and abortion in the same sentence?)  Whatever--

Mia Culpa… I was out on a wild goose chase and I am sorry to say, the geese got the better of me.

S’okay, here’s the story:  I tried and tried to come up with a CD that had the transits for the year of 2007—a tape of the stuff to look for, a way to handle the aspects, the seasons, the Bush administration…but the bottom line was—how could I give you advice on handling the future, when I have not resolved my own relationship to the future?  I wrote and wrote (maybe a book here, eh?) I recorded and recorded (my cousin came from Nashville and bought all sorts of expensive equipment, guilt, mia culpa) and I took time off.  The children made their own food and did their own laundry.  Hey—they know HOW to cook and do laundry!  Who knew?

Anyway, I know there is something that I want to create, but not this and not now, although I really wish it was.

So, I will try to Dujour again (not every day, I am a burned out mess) but I have really missed you guys, and this seems to be the way I can do the ‘future’….a little bit at a time!

Anyway, since I have been out traveling to the “Hell Realm”, a lot has happened in the Sky.

On Monday (the 23rd of October) the Sun AND Mars went into Scorpio, and on Tuesday 24th Venus went into Scorpio!  Then on Wednesday Jupiter squared Saturn, and Friday the Sun is conjunct Venus!  Of course, today our lovely Mercury goes retrograde…..but wait, there’s more…..on Sunday, NEPTUNE goes retrograde, too!  Holy FogBrain!  What a week!  Expect your brain and your emotions to be all over the map.  You might REALLY be spaced tomorrow, since Neptune retrograde is a complete mind dis- mantler!

I, myself, am going full tilt into indulgence.  I told myself when I was done with my project, I was going to read one of my 1,000 books that sit on my night stand.  I opened one by my favorite author (James Rollins—he is too much fun!) and I plan to find a cozy chair and read.  I mean, I AM done with my project!  But, you never know…and Scorpio will remind you…nothing is ever REALLY dead!

Here is a response from Pam via her friend who channels The Andromeda Guides!

PAM WRITES: I asked my healer friend in Marin, Anita Casalina to see if the Guides she works with would like to chime in on the entry re: the cosmic light beam headed our way on the 17th--here is her response--thanks Anita for quick connection!    Affirms we're not alone, love is in the air and progress is afoot...and I will be sailing on the heels of this light beam to Italy later in the week to visit daughter Chelsea studying there!
ciao bella, Pam

I'll type exactly what the guides say..." We are always so pleased to observe you who dwell in matter on Earth , as when you look to the Heavens and energies for a doorway or movement that will help to propel your destiny into positive Light and Love. Know that your efforts are felt and made manifest within your own physical environment as they are felt and magnified by all of the spirit and cosmic levels of consciousness. Your planet is often in the center of our efforts to move Light to illuminate shadow and fear. Your planet is a model of struggle, growth, and experience...moving towards love...always moving towards love. Thank you for meeting us in our workshop of healing.  Many blessings. Moon Void in Cancer enters Leo @ 11:38 a.m.

No exact aspects

I’m still working away on my project everyone, but I just wanted to say a quick ‘Hi’ and share a couple of things.  First, I wanted to make sure that you didn’t miss this story—occasionally there are things you see on the news that make us proud to be humans, (and I mean very occasionally) and this is one of them.   There may be hope for us yet.

I LOVE this dude! http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-0610140237oct14,1,3952805.story?coll=chi-newsnationworld-hed

Second, as I was in the middle of writing this for you, Laura Dee & Gary Ruiz sent this totally cool information!  Think about it…goes along with the ‘upbeat’ theme of the day!

“Here is something I thought would be worth passing on.  As you can imagine we get lots of wonderful emails. For some reason this one jumped out. If this too long to read I offer you this.  Have positive thoughts all the time! Then step it up a notch on 10/17.  It can only help heal you, your mind, body and spirit. This will in turn ripple out to all life.

What ever works...make it part of your daily practice.

A cosmic trigger event is occurring on the 17th of October 2006.

This is the beginning, one of many trigger events to come between now and 2013. An ultraviolet (UV) pulse beam radiating from higher dimensions in universe-2 will cross paths with the Earth on this day. Earth will remain approximately within this UV beam for 17 hours of your time.

This beam resonates with the heart chakra, it is radiant fluorescent in nature, blue/magenta in colour. Although it resonates in this frequency band, it is above the colour frequency spectrum of your universe-1 which you, Earth articulate in. However due to the nature of your soul and soul groups operating from Universe-2 frequency bands it will have an effect.

The effect is every thought and emotion will be amplified intensely one million-fold. Yes, we will repeat, all will be amplified one millions time and more.

Every thought, every emotion, every intent, every will, no matte r if it is good, bad, ill, positive, negative, will be amplified one million times in strength.

What does this mean ?
Since all matter manifest is due to your thoughts, i.e. what you focus on, this beam will accelerate these thoughts and solidify them at an accelerated rate making them manifest a million times faster than they normally would.

For those that do not comprehend. Your thoughts, what you focus on create your reality. This UV beam thus can be a dangerous tool. For if you are focused on thoughts which are negative to your liking they will manifest into your reality almost instantly. Then again this UV beam can be a gift if you! choose it to be.

Mission-1017 requires approximately one million people to focus on positive, benign, good willed thoughts for themselves and the Earth and Humanity on this day. Your thoughts can be of any nature of your choosing, but remember whatever you focus on will be made manifest fest in a relatively faster than anticipated time frame. To some the occurrences may almost be bordering on the miracle.

All we ask is positive thoughts of love, prosperity, healing, wealth, kindness, gratitude be focused on.

This UV beam comes into full affect for 17 hrs on the 17th of October 2006. No matter what time zone you are in the hours are approximately
10:17 am on the 17th of October to 1:17 am on the 18th October. The peak time will be 17:10 (5:10 pm) on the 17th October. You do not need to be in a meditative state through out this time, though would be beneficial. The main key time no matter what time zone you are in will be the peak time of 17:10 (5:10 pm).

Perhaps at this time if you can find a peaceful spot or location to focus. The optimum is out in the vicinity of grounded nature, likened to that of a large tree or next to the ocean waves. Focus on whatever it is you desire. What is required for the be nefit of all Earth an d Humanity is positive thoughts of loving nature.

We call this UV beam trigger event, “818” gateway. Please forward this message to as many people as you know who will use this cosmic trigger event to focus positive, good willed thoughts. We require approximately 1-million people across globe to actively participate in this event. Please use whatever communication mediums you have at your disposal. Reach out to as many people as possible. We require 1-million plus people at the least to trigger a shift for ! humanity from separation and fragmentation to one of unification and oneness. This is your opportunity to take back what is rightfully yours i.e. Peace and Prosperity for all Earth and Mankind.

This is a gift, a life line from your universe so to speak, an answer to your prayers. What you do with it and whether or not you choose to participate is your choice.

SOS…PS...

I am at the last stages of putting my project together and I have the tiniest bit of brain left and I must use it to complete my task.  My target date is the 25th  (deadline) and till then I gotta concentrate so forgive me, I need let Dujour dangle unattended with only the Daily Stars aspects and no explanation for those aspects.  But hey—you can always make stuff up!

I think that is a great way to learn to interpret the star patterns, it exercises your knowledge of astrology and you all have plenty of background since we’ve been Dujouring together for quite a while.  Most of the weeks aspects are from Luna our Moon, so all you need to do is put an emotion next to the planet and sign involved, and you will actually (really!) get a ton of information just from your own insights and subconscious minds.  You’ll probably enjoy that more than any Dujour I would write, what with sex scandal cover ups, and nuclear bombs being tested, and tragic anomalies like the plight of the Amish, you would only have had me grumbling and muttering about the shortcomings of our species, and you really don’t need that, do you?

If it all works out, I will tell you what I’ve been doing by the end of October.  If it doesn’t work out, I’ll pretend like nothing happened and just resume writing Dujour.  “State of Denial” is not just for politicians!

Hey, one more thing—have a GREAT Friday the 13th!  Trines and trines from Venus and the Moon, so the day is perfect for its original meaning, which is to take the day off and honor the Lovely Moon Goddess, and the Goddess of Love, Venus by using the day to MAKE love instead of TAKE love!

As I merrily typed in the Daily Stars for the week, I noticed something interesting.  On Sunday October 1, Mercury moved into Scorpio.

I have been off in a parallel universe working on a different project, so I sort of dropped the Dujour-ball (sorry) so I missed the speculating thing, but the transit is still young, (it’s a long, long one) and there’ll be plenty of time for more controversy in the days to come, and this transit promises to be really interesting!

So what’s Mercury in Scorpio all about?  It’s all about (negative) suppressing, hiding, avoiding, lying, shame, perversion (positive) revealing, investigating, enlightening, knowledge of the mysteries.  Plainly speaking, Mercury in Scorpio is the CSI of the Zodiac!

So, watching Mercury in action, within 48 hours of it entering Scorpio,  three stories hit the scene that illustrate this aspect.  The most prominent and perfectly Scorpio, being the scandal in Florida.  Once again, we have another member of the “Moral Majority Elite”, a Republican Senator from Florida, Mark Foley being caught in the act of his pedophilia hobby.

You know, when we simply try to supress our Demons (rather than trying to understand what's going on inside of us and dealing with whatever psychological needs the Demon is representing) those demons come back to bite us.  Heard a great saying once, "Whatever you bury, you bury alive"  Eek!  The Zombie made me do it!  ( Yo, Grasshoppers, you all remember that Scorpio ‘rules’ sex, and psychology, right? Just checkin)

Another star story was the revelation of Bush’s own ‘Intelligence Department’ (doesn’t that make you chuckle?) which revealed what everyone knows, which is that the war has been ‘berry, berry bad for the U.S.A and berry, berry good for terrorists’.  Duh.  Saw that one coming a million miles away….why?  Because when you blow up someone’s country, they get mad.  Even if you do it ‘for’ them…Especially when you say do it ‘for’ them—hypocrisy—adding insult to injury--and death (and Scorpio rules death)!

Oh, and we can’t forget that other perfect little Mercury/Scorpio story, the latest Bob Woodward book about the dysfunctional White House situation—aptly titled, “State of Denial”.  So of course the Bush White House is busy countering with denying what’s in the book….Scorpio again! (Since Merc in Scorpio rules lies and avoidence) and that makes us three for three....

Now, all of these stories are not news to most of us, but the fact that they are hitting the scene now is a perfect illustration of Mercury expressing itself in Scorpio.  How long will this aspect last?  Well, it will stay in Scorp all month and on the 29th of October Mercury will go retrograde for the last time this year.  The RX will last throughout November, turning direct on the 18th, and staying in the sign of Scorpio until December 8th!  Wow!  If this keeps up its revealing theme, we might even find out what happened on 9-11! Ha!

One more thing….I got fairly bummed out when I read Eric Francis’s synopsis of the aspects on November 7, voting day!  He talked about the retrograde, and how it is always present when coercive voting tactics are used.  (think presidential election of 2000, a major Mercury retro fiasco!) He thinks tricky little voting machine sleight of hand stuff could sway the outcome, irregardless of how many people have been influenced by all of the scandlous revelations and the fact that so much has been jeopardized by the policies of this administration (no money for schools, health care, drop in decent jobs--unless you are willing to move to China or Thailand and work for $3.00 a day—or you could stay here and work for Wal-Mart and take a salary cut) Well, you get my drift—

Anyway, it’s all we have, so I say for crying out loud VOTE anyway, at the very least it will make it harder for ‘them’ to hide all those votes!

Oh, and with Merc in Scorp, be sure to be good little boys and girls yoursleves!  Tell the truth, because remember, no body gets away with nothin!

You all remember that Mars is a planet that takes approximately two years to orbit the Sun, n’est pas?  Well, Mars went into Libra for the first time in two years earlier this month (on September 7th) and this afternoon it will reach 14 degrees.

Okay, so what?

Well, the infamous chart of 9-11 had an interesting aspect in it.  It had a 14 degree Libra rising with transiting Mercury at 14 degrees Libra right on top of it.  The big news is, in the USA’s chart, Saturn is 14 degrees Libra, and Saturn on Mercury talks of ‘control of the mind; stifling communication, binding and gagging, and on the positive side, (to be fair, there is always a positive interpretation with every aspect in astrology) it can also mean mental discipline, but that is not likely the way that this administration, the choices made about 9-11, and George W. Bush will most likely be remembered.

The aspect was spot on the exact degree when the planes hit the trade building, and then (as it goes) moving Mercury moved on.  Except within two weeks it went retrograde, and it crossed this aspect once again….it was exact once more on the week that they passed the “Patriot Act” (the first day of the last day of The Bill of Rights).

Well, I just find it all so interesting that Mars, a yang planet known for war, soldiering, aggression and (when it's in not such good aspects in a chart) meanness, will reach this place of 14 degrees Libra today when the senate is voting on the ‘right’ for us to hold any detainee, “for any reason, any where, as long as we like, and do anything we want to them with no accountability and no consequences….”, .  It seems that W. just might get his way and get to torture at will, with no possibility of ever being ‘tried in a court of law’ for his acts of violence waged upon an other.  It’s the ultimate fantasy of a sadist.  By the way, did I mention that W.’s  Moon is in Libra at 16 degrees and as such it is conjunct the USA’s Saturn and today’s astrological activity?  Humm…..

Anyway, that’s not why I’m writing.

My friend Carolyn sent me a little film now showing on  UTube and I think it is a perfect ‘Congress/Senate/Bush’ antidote….I just loved it, it felt good to watch, so here it is, on this day when our species could possibly sign away our humanity on the altar of the God of Fear and Politics ….here is the OTHER side of US!

Moon in Scorpio

Venus in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius @ 11:07 a.m.
Mercury in Libra sextile Saturn in Leo @ 1:28 p.m.
Moon in Scorpio trine Uranus in Pisces @ 6:47 p.m.

Well, this will most likely be a sparse Dujour week—it’s Harvest Time!  Today I’m shopping for lunch supplies (cook to the crew) and tomorrow I will don my “Lucy” outfit and head out to the fields.  Love the rhythm of it—doesn’t it seem just like yesterday that I wrote this same Dujour?

Well, luckily it’s a minimal week concerning planetary happenings—there is only one astrological ‘event’ this week, and it occurs next Saturday.  Our loveliest, Ms. Venus will enter her home sign of Libra (one of two of her homes—Libra is her winter home, Taurus her Summer home—pool and all, ha!) and we will inexplicably find ourselves out shopping for brightly colored fall decorations and cooking all sorts of pumpkin and squash dishes! (If you’re like me, this will bewilder you, it’s like an enchantment.)

Throughout the week, lovely Luna will also be traveling through the autumn section of the sky.  All week she will be aligning herself with each of the personal planets from Mercury up to Jupiter—then off to the last autumn-dwelling planet at the outer edges of our solar system, where on Thursday she will align with the outcast, Pluto.  This makes our week emotionally connected, all lit up as it were, which can be a good thing or not depending on the condition of your emotions, of course!

Yesterday there was one ‘event’ that will be of influence all week.  Jupiter ‘squared’ Neptune—this just amplifies those emotions!

Jupiter, remember, is the planet of ‘excess’. It is a BIG planet, and as such its energy expands and exaggerates whatever it comes in contact with, and it is squaring the planet of illusions and/or inspiration (or most likely both!) the Mystical One, our Neptune.

So—watch your minds this week, G’hoppers; The tendency to exaggerate fear is a ‘sand trap’ and realize that your ability to engage your imagination can be used for your personal service rather than the fun little game of self torture that we all play. (I’m going to re-read this one!)  The ticket is to remember you are in control, and it’s only an illusion!

By the way, whichever you choose, Luna will shine her light and amplify it, so use that light for awareness!

And speaking of insights that lead to self control and self containment—I just read (and it is up on her site) Pam Burns-Clair’s latest entry, titled, Seeking Equilibrium.  I’m sure we ALL can relate to what she describes, I loved what she had to say and I felt myself relaxing along with her (and it really made me crave a Labyrinth in my back yard).

Tune in, it’s a wonderful taste of fall!

Sun enters Libra @ 9:04 p.m.

This being the Fall, and one of the Fall's themes is release and letting go, this is great information about the wisdom our bodies hold to do just that!  Thank you, Maryann for this information..............

"There was a study done where a control group of 100 people were
divided into two.
50 people watched a very funny, tears-of laughter type movie.
50 watched a very sad and tears of compassion type movie.
At the end of the sessions researchers collected the "happy tears" and
the "sad tears" with eye droppers.
They found that "happy tears" are made up of brine...salt water and not
a great deal else.
However the "sad tears" were found to contain the very same chemicals
and enzymes that are found in tumours, ulcers and other such lumps and
bumps and sicknesses through out the body.
This test concluded that the body, when crying in sadness etc is
literally flushing out all of the toxic-chemicals that accumulate and are a part of
the sadness /heartache experience.
Therefore if one holds back those tears, those toxic-waters will find
somewhere else to deposit themselves.....and prolonged
lack-of-crying-release will guarantee that the body will accumulate a
huge amount of internal pollution and toxicity that should have been released
through the tears........is it any wonder that the eyes sting so much
when we hold back our tears?"
So, never be afraid to cry....

Moon in Virgo

Moon in Virgo sextile Jupiter in Scorpio @ 3:04 a.m. Moon in Virgo conjunct Venus in Virgo @ 7:47 a.m. Moon in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius @ 6:12 p.m.

This last week has been the cusp between the summer, season of the Visionary, and the fall, season of the Teacher.

The Sun God of the summer hands the energy to the Earth Goddess for the fall.  For me, it’s not a moment too soon.  I have been a bit ‘over yang’, (too much solar power for my ‘opinions’, for which I apologize).  Still, the fall is the season of The Trickster, and what greater Trickster IS there than our mind?

Tomorrow, September 22, at 9:04 p.m. we enter the beautiful fall.

The fall is a complex, mystical season with many areas of spirit practice.  It is the season of dying and letting go.  Those leaves that turn such exquisite colors do so as they release their hold on their time here on the earth.  Letting go is a relief, so what is it that YOU need to let go of?  It is also the season of Harvest, of gathering in!   The sorting is on!  What to keep and honor as harvest?  What to let go of and release as unnecessary?  In astrology, this powerful cusp uses the energies of Virgo (the Sorter Extraordinaire) and Libra (the Balancer).  It is time for a cosmic ‘house cleaning’, clear the space and prepare for the ‘going within’ times.

This season is the season of the Teacher, and it asks us to honor all of our teachers, both formal (whatever studies, practices, bodies of knowledge we have come to these teachers to learn) and informal (most notable of these, our family, and indirectly our ancestors).

We learn from our family things that have come straight through since the beginning of time.  From our families we get our little ways, (sayings, habits, foods, for some gentle examples) all tucked into the little things that influence and design our days.  It really doesn’t matter how much therapy you have been through, those little things slip through the sieve of our minds and wind up in the habits of our bodies....they can serve us or harm us, our consciousness is what makes the difference.

I saw a TV show once about this person who could tell where your ancestors came from by the menu you had on Thanksgiving Dinner.  Certain little choices were regional, and even if you studied at The Cordon Bleu, those influences poked their way on to the table.  Whenever we are dealing with our ancestors, most of us know that in this area, we must not loose touch with our sense of humor—and for this the Fall provides us with the help of the Trickster, who assists us with the ability to laugh at our selves (I know that one very well!)

Last, Fall is the season honoring our Grandmother—Grandmother Ocean, that is!  Of course, if evolution is so, Grandmother Ocean is the place of our ancestors, so it all makes sense.

So, in honor of this season, to give us all guidelines taken from Angeles Arrien’s book the Four Fold Way.

For the season of the Fall, here are the three Aspects of Wisdom:

  • Clarity
  • Objectivity
  • Discernment

I find to achieve these things, it just takes time and willingness.  I am always running out of Time.  When I am ‘off’, it is a matter of (usually) 24 hours till everything in the Galaxy is different.  How come I don’t remember this?  Take Time, look:  Clarity, objectivity and discernment occur naturally when the heat of the moment passes, and when employed, they always flow into compassion.

And here are the Four Immutable Laws of the Spirit

  • Whoever is present are the right people
  • Whenever it begins is the right time
  • Whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened
  • When it’s over, it’s over.

I love those four immutable!  They confirm the ‘rightness’ of all things, even the things that are not pleasant.

May your Fall bring you an abundant harvest, may you release all that is toxic and unnecessary, may you have teachers that inspire and enlighten you, may your ancestors bring you help, assistance and comfort, and may you laugh in delight as you 'ride the rides' while you are in this upside-down Amusement Park called Earth!

Ho.

Happy Fall!

Moon in Virgo

Moon in Virgo oppose Uranus in Pisces @ 5:44 p.m.

Well, I realize that I have been a little “anti” lately, which is the opposite energy of “pro”.  Especially when discussing religions and things religious leaders say and do, and all of the stuff that happens to people as a result of that, and I am sorry that I haven’t been more positive.  It’s my Saturn return, ya know.  That said, I was musing with my son about these things; life, religion, (rant, rant), God, etc. and he reminded me about one of my favorite descriptions of God, via the wise man and sage, George Carlin.

George Carlin sez, “So let me get this straight—God is an invisible man who is always listening and he hears everything you say, is everywhere all the time, and he has ten rules that you must obey.  If you do not obey these ten rules, he sends you to a place with fire, brimstone, terrible tortures (think Abu Ghraib) for an ETERNITY !!  Now, if he likes you, he brings you up to his castle in the clouds where you get to live with him forever and you get wings and get to fly around”

Wow.  Well, when you put it THAT way…….just a little different perspective to ponder here on this Wednesday as the Moon opposes Uranus, the planet of awakenings.

Moon in Leo trine Pluto in Sagittarius @ 5:16 a.m.

You know, this being the week of the Equinox (twill be on Friday, the same day as the Solar Eclipse) I was going to ‘wax poetic’ on the loveliness of the Fall, and the fact that the fall is the Season of the Teacher.

Then, oh Grasshoppers, Wally started to read to me part of the news, and you know what that does to me!  (I try to write Dujour before I allow my mind to become polluted by those news stories in the morning) but some times no matter what, the information just pours in.  This time it’s all about that new, frisky kid on the block—the most recent leadership bully.  Yup, it’s that Pope again.

Once a Hitler youth, always a bit, er, ‘selectively opinioned’ of mind (took me a while to find those words!)  This morning he trashed Buddhism (at length), Muslims, (and teaches us how to make an apology sound just like another insult) sex (of course) and OHMYGOD the unforgivable—rock and roll!!! (Once again, the tool of the Devil) Well, that about hits a strike in our house! (Except the Muslim part, and I’m ready to study that—any thing this controversial and Bush & Pope-despised must be enlightened).

Actually, the truth is I’m really off religion lately.  I just can’t take the violence.  This was NOT the stuff of my youth, you know.  I mean, I was a devout little Catholic girl, first communion, parochial school, the whole nine yards.  This was until I was ‘saved’ by Billy Graham at a large football field in San Diego in 1960.  It was a Saturn grand trine, I’ll never forget it.  In those days, (of course I was eleven years old, what did I know of politics?) all I heard was about the Love of God.  God loves the children.  God is Good.  God is fair, all are equal—rich and poor.  God heals, saves, gives to all just be pure of heart.  No problem!  So I was ‘born again’ and I really dug it.  Then I grew up.  Then I realized what I was taught left a few questions unanswered, (like what’s WRONG with sex and rock n’ roll?  And why can’t my friends come with me to Heaven just because they go to the church on the other corner of town, not mine?)  so I was off on my merry chase looking for answers.  My search of course, eventually led me to The Stars.  And Art (a great religion) and Laughing (my favorite religion, yet!)

I wuz doin fine, then along comes George Bush, and now the Pope.
And we hear that these are the men representing God today.  Yes, I know, there are REAL men and women of God all around.  I want to read what THEY have to say on Google News!

We’ll do the equinox later this week—the Goddess vs. God. Guess whose team I’m playing for?  And by the way—which world would YOU prefer to live in?  A world of sex, agriculture and ritual or a world of rules, torture and perpetual war?  “Well, if you put it THAT way……………”!

ONE MORE THING....how perfect is this?  Pam sent it!  Point in Fact!

Humm….at high noon today, Mercury will conjunct Mars.  So?

Well…..this is just a ‘heads up’ for all you observers and ponderers of Heaven’s prose, you may wish to note that this can be a cranky, cantankerous aspect, so if something stirs your nerves ‘count to ten’ and breathe if you are inclined to express your opinions with more force than usual.

Now, on the other hand, it is an aspect that can lend courage to your thoughts!  Generally, our inner ‘Casper Milquetoast’ might have us hold back and lack confidence to express our ideas, but this is a boost to the yang of the mind—that is why we need to keep our expressions modulated—an unchecked yang can be a very outta control thing.  In other words:  Think what you are Saying!!

Late breaking News Example of a Mars/Mercury conjunction:

Today will be dedicated to story after story about the famous and fate-full day of September 11, 2001:
The Day the World Went Crazy

As we all know, as a recourse for ‘that which we did not understand’, we chose as a solution, to partake of the great patriarchal sacrament:  War!

Full of the entitlement of Self Righteous Victimization, “we” made a choice to attack two countries—the first a very poor country, Afghanistan, all ready rife with poverty and its infrastructure all ready weakened and destroyed from previous wars.  Our choice to attack did not give us the satisfaction of revenge we sought, and we all know that Osama Bin Laden, reputed to live in Afghanistan was all but forgotten after we waged war on this land.

Then, the US government made a decision to attack a country that was completely unrelated to the attacks of 9-11, and as a result of this decision the number of dead  (as of today, the number is 2,666—I kid you not!  I just looked it up) has almost reached the number killed from the September 11 event itself  (that official number is 2,819).   In addition to the dead, over 65,000 American soldiers are either maimed or psychologically incapacitated for life (they will be the next generation we see living on the streets, should they survive the effects of depleted uranium) and in addition to THAT, the current count (according to 60 Minutes news last night) of 130,000 Iraqis—the people whose country we chose to focus our need to exert our proof of power (under the auspices of purporting to ‘liberate’ them) are now dead.

So what’s my point?

Well, does Revenge work?

You know, it would NOT be the choice of an average citizen to kill someone for an injustice done to them.  There would be years of therapy, perhaps—or a lot of beer consumed with wild and fast driving.  There are so many ways we stuff our pain, but the most torturous way is to stay a victim.  When we blame, we give all of our power away and we stay in the shadow of our event forever.

(Might have told you all this before but it seems an appropriate story for the day.)

In an astrology class I once took, a fellow student asked our teacher if there was a chart of a murderer/thief/criminal?  The teacher sagely answered this:

He said you must have three things:  A chart of the perpetrator, a chart of the victim, and a chart of the moment that they meet and come together. Without any one of those three things, you have no crime!

If we understand what could make us one of the two active elements (victim or perpetrator) then we can dramatically change our vulnerability on the planet.  I know, I used to be a ‘sitting duck’ and I have lived through two murder attempts!  Only when my consciousness changed did my external events settle down, like magic!

At age 18 with my face black and blue and wrapped in bandages, I was just returning home from the hospital.  I had just survived an assault the night before, and I was waiting for a bus on a street corner in San Francisco.  A young man walking down the other side of the street took one look at my face and he crossed the street in order to hand me a piece of paper with his address on it.  He said, “I’m giving a class on Karma, and I think you aught to come!”  I thought—yeah!  That was the first time I ever heard the word Karma, I didn’t know what it meant, but it sounded right!  I felt empowered to understand that I really DID have something to do with the events that were happening to me (and I’m not talking about something I did to cause them—but instead, some ‘bigger reason’ I was part of these events, and there was something that I needed to learn FROM them!) This meant I could change something within myself and thereby have some power to alter my experience!

If we understand WHY ‘Terrorists’ go to the colossal effort and personal jeopardy that they do (like suicide bombers) to harm us, we can make different choices about our reactions to & with them.  Just choosing to ‘fight back’ doesn’t seem to be very effective—what about a different approach, like listening, for a change?

I have a friend who works at a center for Restorative Justice.  What this program does is that it gives victims a safe opportunity to confront their tormentors.  She says that the ‘rehabilitation rate’ far exceeds that (both for victim and perpetrators) of any other program in the country!  Victims and perpetrators are two sides of a Karmic situation, ya can’t have one without the other.  It is only when they come together that two of the three pieces of the puzzle can look at that third piece—the moment when their life changing event happened.  It is very intimate—no one else in the world lived through it but those two, and it takes them both working together to understand their event, to find their way out of the mire.

So my thought for the day:  What ELSE can we learn/take from this terrible event that occurred five years ago besides dividing our world into “THEM & US”?  What about taking responsibility for our governments choices?  What about finding OUT about our governments choices?

Let us not live in the dark.  Let’s ask, and keep asking, “What is our Karmic Responsibility here?”  until we get our answers!

It’s just so Saturn opposite Neptune!

There’s a new ‘docudrama’ that will be aired on national television where all of the ‘facts’ are re-arranged in order to blame Bill Clinton for 9-11.  What’s up with blaming Clinton for every thing that ever happened since the rein of Genghis Khan?! That’s a lot of power for one ex-president!  Are those NeoCons still so afraid of him?

It really shouldn’t surprise us.  Facts have rarely concerned the Bush administration.  This one is truly a display of desperateness based upon the falling popularity of GW, and with the polls showing that the American Public’s skepticism seems to be returning after a long hiatus, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time” (or something like that, hope I got this quote right, Abe!) those NeoCons certainly needed to do something, right?

So what they are doing is a film called “The Path to 911” and if you believe what is in this film, then you must believe that GW ‘loves the poor’.  Now THAT would be a serious Neptune problem!

Anyway, for a different point of view, check this one out….

And if you REALLY want to see some “Facts” concerning 911, sit and watch THIS one!

And if you want to have fun with Neptune, (Which rules music and a good Martini, ahem, certainly things that take us to a different reality) my son is playing at the Blue Moon Saloon TONIGHT!  I believe they start at 10:00.  (IT's getting harder and harder to be the parent of a Rock 'n Roll guitarist--I have a hard time staying awake after 9:00 p.m., perhaps the one thing I have in common with George Bush!)

I was talking to someone about astrology, and they asked, “How does it work?”  I said, “Well, you know how with a hologram, if you cut it up,  every tiny piece of the hologram has the whole picture in it?  Well, that’s how astrology works—every planet and every thing in the solar system is in every cell and piece of everyone and every thing that is in the Universe!”

I woke up feeling really altered!  I used to dream astrology almost every night, but that was over thirty years ago.  Its very reassuring…and quite a good example of Neptune opposite Saturn…..hope you all enjoy this very strange eclipseFullMooninPiscesconjunctUranusMarsintoLibraalteredconsciousness day!

Labor Day

Moon Void in Capricorn enters Aquarius @ 11:15 a.m.

Moon in Capricorn trine Mars in Virgo @ 4:20 p.m.
Pluto in Sagittarius goes ‘SD’ Stationary Direct @ 4:20 p.m.

Okay, Grasshoppers, today you get to observe!  At 4:20 this afternoon, the little ‘non-planet’ Pluto will turn around and begin to move forward.  We all aught a feel it, at least I have been!  What is it that we will feel?

Well, the qualities of Pluto are: Feelings of anxiety and agitation,  internal power struggles, and situations that bring your mind and spirit into the depths, for example.  If you have been ‘sitting on’ a thought or feeling, unexpressed or unrevealed, this is the day you might find yourself bringing this topic/issues in some way up to the ‘fore’. Pluto has been back in retro land and now that it is coming out, see what stories are in the news today that have the topic of ‘revelation’ in them!  Stay tuned for leaked memos, 9-11 commission reports, info from the past popping up to the surface.

And By The Way….it’s LABOR DAY!  If there was ever a buried story, it’s the growing lack of appreciation for labor!  The corporations have us all getting angry at Unions.  Excuse me?  The corporations are NOTHING without people to serve them—but people have given their power away.  Unions, taxes are now bad.  Greed, making money without thought to social responsiblity is now good.  Funny style, can’t wait till the pendulum swings again, this is a very odd era in American history.

You all remember that on days when ANY planet turns around, we all get a bit of a cosmic whiplash, n’est pas?  Well, this one’s a doozy, and I have felt it for days now just thinking it was a flu.  Well, it couldda been anyway, but flu & retrogrades/directs feel the same—so realize that Pluto has been “standing still” or “stationary” since August 28th, and it will remain at this degree—24 degrees Sagittarius, five minutes, until the 13th  of this month.  The likelihood is, that this is how long we will all feel ‘suspended’, so go easy on yourselves.

Speaking of suspense, this week is a really active week in planetary shake and shuffle.  Today we have Pluto turning and beginning to take its intense energy ‘forward’, and tomorrow at 11:15 p.m. the beautiful Goddess Venus will enter the harvest sign of Virgo until the end of the month.  We will all get the urge to bring order and beauty into our lives—donning our tables with big sunflowers from the farmers market, and dinners made of bright, fresh vegetables; beauty ablaze with the color of the harvest.

But hey—that’s not the last event this week, and certainly not the biggest one!

On Thursday, at 11:42, we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces—while Luna is conjunct Uranus, planet of The Unexpected!  And while we’re still trembling in our boots with that one, at 9:19 p.m. that same night, Mars God of War will enter Libra—the sign of war and peace.  Heckava day, what will our little NeoCons do with these aspects?

Friday of this week, Luna in late Pisces will square Pluto and oppose Mars, all cranky, war-ish aspects, which could be nothing but a big wind, but the fact that so many world leaders are so ‘certain’ of their rightness, and so unwilling to communicate (well, some Who Shall Not be Named are unable to communicate, ahem) so the ‘balance’ that Libra attempts to create has no way to occur!

That, you see, is the information.  When an aspect presents itself, it is just a condition, like the weather.  If you trust the captain of your ship, (or you ARE the captain of your ship) then you have a better chance of ‘riding out’ any storm.

With a fool for your captain, well—don’t forget to don your life jackets!

(Very Plutonic Dujour today, ah well….)

Well, today is certainly another day (than yesterday!) let us all not forget that…it’s a morph-able universe and things change!

Today I am catching up with everything I haven’t done in the last month (which includes dashing off at the last minute to pay the 2nd mortgage!) so I don’t have much time for today’s Dujour, but I did want to point out that

1) the Saturn/Neptune opposition has exactly happened, so some of the steam is released! (I sure feel better, how about you?) and

2) the Sun and Mercury will be—what is called—combust today (exact conjunction) and we will have solar power merging with the mental and mobile energies of Mercury today—and in Virgo, the can-do sign, no less!

So go out there, Dujourians, and accomplish miracles—today's ‘stars’ are made for accomplishment!

BTW…..tomorrow @ 2:55 a.m. ….Saturn in Leo oppose Neptune in Aquarius!

Due to the Neptune (illusion, delusions, clinical spaced-out-ness) vs. Saturn (brain-clogged, rigid, tending towards depression) opposition now in progress, Dujour, which I have attempted to write daily, will once again be pre-empted to give me more time to worry/run in circles/ and do the same load of laundry over and over (just happened).

This is a perfect (minor, personal) illustration of a Saturn/Neptune, a once ever 36-40 year aspect. (Thanks for reminding me about this, Nancy—I was so space out, I didn’t even see it was happening!)

Aside from my personal ‘story’, a political example that perfectly illustrates this transit is expressed in an article sent in by Dujourian David Grey—thanks for this one!

http://www.vdare.com/roberts/060814_gullible.htm  and yet for another great Neptunian example:

http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0829-21.htm

There!  That will keep you all busy till my foggy brain clears—between Neptune oppose Saturn, and transiting Mercury on my Saturn, and my youngest starting his senior year in high school and turning 17 yesterday, no matter how much I write, I can’t make heads or tails of it!  When you don’t hear from me, you know everything’s getting interesting around here.

Enjoy the fog, and don’t sign major contracts without READING them!

Oh, and PS...another side effect of this aspect...is anyone else out there REALLY TIRED?  Wow!  The Neptune effect is like an 'undertow'!

Moon in Virgo goes Void at High Noon

Moon in Virgo conjunct Mars in Virgo @ 6:12 a.m.
Moon in Virgo square Pluto (the poor outcast) in Sagittarius @ 12:00 p.m.

Yes, Pluto has been ‘kicked off the island’.  Wow—it can happen to any one!

I was watching McNeil-Lehrer last night, and Jim Lehrer was interviewing an astronomer recently back from the convention in Prague.  He was talking about the decision (by 400 or so astronomers) to demote Pluto from bone fide planet to a dwarf planet, just one of the floating Kyper belt crew.  As I watched, I got angrier and angrier.  It took me a while to realize what was so upsetting to me—it was that no where, at no time, has the media ever included an astrologer to talk about this situation.  Of course not!  Astrology is always discussed with a snide smirk & a wink—as if anyone who could possibly believe in astrology must be weak of mind, never considering that the likes of Galileo, Kepler, Einstein and Carl Jung just to name a few, have been some of the brilliant minds that have pondered our relationship with the stars.  This popular “Rove-ian” method of ‘instant diminishment’ not only minimizes people's beliefs, but it limits the information that would occur if we open our minds to share insights with those that have ideas other than the limited "politically correct" thoughts of the moment.  Bring an astrologer on the news and have them give the significant dates of exact Pluto aspects—like the 9-11 chart, for example—and then people can make up their mind about Pluto!

Eric Francis wrote a great piece today in Planet Waves.  (He would be my vote for a TV debate on the topic).  He has a great grasp of the astronomical, as well as, of course, the astrological.  Something he said in his article about Pluto really struck me:  Neptune, the planet of illusions and delusions is now the last planet (think: last word) here in our solar system!  Perfect!  We know we have ‘disassociated’ from our relationship with ‘the underworld’ (Pluto) when we do underworld things (like invade an un-armed country and take it over) and then deny what we have done.  No Pluto?  No problem!  Do we think we get rid of our 'underworld' that easily?

I was Googling around this morning and I found this interesting article.  It goes into other stuff, but read the section that says Einstein and Astrology, very enlightening.

http://www.themagicofquantum.com/files/chapter_01.pdf#search=%22einstein%20%26%20astrology%22

Anyway, tis Friday, the first day in the new, abbreviated galaxy, and never forget:  it’s not over till its over.  I really don’t care what a group of uninformed ‘scientists’ say about the meaning and power of the planets.  Just let them see a chart with Pluto on the ascendant (or have it happen to them) and they will run screaming, “I believe”!  The proof is in the living.  Time will tell.

The day is barely begun and I am so deep into Virgo-ness that it isn’t funny.  I have called three companies so far in an attempt to straighten out bills.   I have been to the post office to return products, and I have been to the mechanic to see if the car which looks 'totaled' by our young Virgo's first car crash--he's okay, whew!--is indeed totaled.  Virgo—this wonderful sign, among other wonderful things, rules the need to get it right, the urge to ‘get organized’.

I have been off in the world of the physical (rather this cozy cyber-universe) so I am running late (what’s new?) but I wanted to tell you two things:   A) I am still alive and one day hope to be consistent again, and B) even tho I am MIA, Pam Burns-Clair is still on the case and has sent in a wonderful article on the children of Darfur (As the Spirit Moves Me ) and TWO entries on Good to Know, ONE of which is a petition for Arnie concerning single-payer health care—oh PLEASE sign this one!  I cut my finger two months ago, needed a couple of stitches, and it cost me $1600.00!!!!What Is Up With THAT?

Anyway, Happy Birthday to ALL Virgos, I’m busy doing my “I’m so busy” Virgo imitation, hope to talk to you all before the end of the week.  since Virgos are in ‘interesting’ aspects, more to come on that……………….

ps...it isn't Virgo till 11:23 p.m.  It is the last day of LEO, and a special day at that!  Audrey's husband, Fredrick, is the magic 6-0 today!!  Happy Birthday, Fredrick!

Moon in Taurus square Sun in Leo @ 6:51 p.m.

While pouring over the slimy (but fun and addictive) political stories in the headlines, I came upon a keyboard stopper!  Did you all see that a group of 2,500 scientists are in Prague right now debating whether to demote Pluto to a status other than our 9th planet?  Holy Hades!  I have been DEEP into a relationship with this teeny, tiny ball of frozen ice and gasses, and it is finally in a fairly groovy place in my own chart and ‘they’ want to take it away NOW?

I mean, it IS, as the God of the Underworld, exerting a certain influence these days, n’est pas?  Doesn’t the world FEEL like it is experiencing a conjunction to the largest black hole in our galaxy, called the Galactic Core?  (Pluto is THERE for the first time in 248 years!) And yes it WAS in a critical degree when 9-11 happened, (an exact Mars/Pluto opposition!) Doesn’t the likes of  Karl Rove & Darfur & global warming & corporate subjugation & the Israeli-Palestinian conflict seem a bit, er, Plutonic to you?  I mean, how much more Underworld can we GET?  So they’re going to tell us that this God of the Underworld is not a planet?

Well, they might.

Years ago, in a class I once attended, a student asked the instructor about influence of asteroids, comets and the like and he gave a great answer.  He said that you would need a piece of paper as big as the room to draw in all of the bodies in space (including influential space debris) that affect a chart at any given moment!  It is NOT just the Big Nine that create all of the events that we talk of in the Star Biz.  It is ALWAYS about everything is everything, and ALL swirling bodies in space do whatever it is that they do to influence the energies here on Terra Firma.  Why IS that?  Well, THAT is the mystery!

Would that those 2,500 scientists (with those high power tools—computers and telescopes, etc) studied the influence on the psyches of humans and all life here on this little planet, influences that astrologers and astronomers of yore have been noting for over 3,000 years, then perhaps we would actually GET some where on this dusty planet.  Sigh.

Currently Pluto is within one degree of an exact T-square with the Nodes of the Moon.  These are the points where the Earth’s orbit pattern intersects on the path between the Sun and the Moon.  These are powerful points in space which astrologers use them to note the destiny of a person, as well as the (speculated) possible ‘past’—like past lives—that may influence who they are.

Pluto is in exact angle with them when his fate will be decided, but actually—so what?  Astrologers have used this little ball of ice in charts with powerful results, growing in our understanding of its influence since Clyde Tombaugh discovered it in 1930.  Whatever is decided upon, I doubt that you could rest Pluto out of the ‘cold, dead hands’ of any astrologer that has ever used him in a chart!

Pluto has been (we have evidence) a powerful force upon our world, and you can call him what you want, he’ll always be a powerful force of intensity, whether he gets to stay in ‘the club’ or not!

So Grasshoppers, let us all just keep on observing—you know that’s what we astrologers DO!
