At midnight at the end of every Thursday, Jupiter hands his day to ‘girl Friday’, Venus, and the weekend begins—in our mind, that is!  We still must make it through Friday day, but we can feel the freedom that is just about to be ours, coming right around the corner!

Speaking personally, since I do what I love and I love what I do, I do not pine for the weeks end.  Still, there is that interesting phenomenon that we are all quite responsive to the mind of ‘the collective’.

Did you know that if you enjoy solving cross-word puzzles, if you work the Sunday New York Times puzzle on Monday instead of Sunday, you will solve it substantially faster? Yes! Studies have been done that say so.  It appears that as so many people have already solved it the day before, then the answers are already revealed in ‘the collective’ consciousness, and it is far easier to find your words!!!

So, that in mind Friday is an exciting day for us all, whether we enjoy our Monday-Thursday or not!

This Friday, Venus our Friday Goddess has only one aspect to process.  Her friend, Luna must oppose Uranus at 11:09 a.m., and that is an intense one, but it is not really what will dominate our energy today.  Yeah, we might feel restless and agitated, but that feeling is not exclusive to the Moon/Uranus opposition.

No, more significant in influencing our energy today is an aspect that will not occur until tomorrow at 3:04 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Tomorrow Mars, our intrepid planet of energy, the force of ‘Yang’ and the God of War, who has been in residence in the sign of Taurus since July 28, will turn around and start moving back along the path he just came.  Yes, Mars is going retrograde!

The thing about any planet going retrograde is, we feel it before it happens.  Like the tide going out—way out before a Tsunami, when a planet retrogrades the energy pulls back along with the planet!  This makes sense, when you think that today Mars is all but standing still, waiting for the Earth to pass around the curve (which is actually what a retrograde is—a planet doesn’t really move backwards, it is just an apparent motion!)

So our energy might be a bit off, our emotions a bit ‘trigger’ sensitive, and the time/space continuum might feel a bit torked as well.  This I am experiencing (as I speak) to my advantage.  I arose at my usual time, I’ve been writing & readying my day the same way as always, but instead of it being 11:00, like it usually is by now,  it is only 9:00!!  Wow, a little retrograde goes a long way.  One other symptom is the effects this aspect has on ‘The Pod’.  For me it’s a bit of a headache, so I am off to partake of the “Miracle of Excedrin”.  After that, I plan to lay low until the day actually begins.

Conserve your energy, and enjoy your Venus day!  Retrogrades or not, it’s Friday!!
