You know (you were warned!) that today Mars goes retrograde at 3:04 this afternoon.  What this will do is, of course, relevant to what is going on in your own chart, still, you know that all retrogrades are all about ‘returning’ to the scene of the crime, and there are so many crimes afoot these days, this Mars will be a busy little bee for some time to come!

Mars is about energy, accomplishment, bravery, ‘chutzpah’ passion and action.  The fact that he has ‘retreated’ back along the path can be a great advantage to humanity, as we have been inundated with events and changes that could truly bear some re-view.  The symptoms of ‘energy wobble’ which you may or may not have felt for the last two days should subside soon as we all adjust to this new direction. 

Mars will continue to move back along the Taurean path until the 9th of December, when we must prepare for a whiplash again, as Mars moves forward again, just in time for the holidays!

By the way………if you are a Taurus, you have most likely found this Mars era (since it first entered your Sun sign on July 28th this summer) to be a lively ride!  Today’s retrograde begins at 23 degrees….this means if you were born on the 14th or 15th of May, Mars retrogrades directly on your Sun!  The retrograde will travel all the way back to the 8th degree, which means that anyone born at the end of April—the 29th or 30th—will feel this aspect the most!  So, Taurus’s born April 29, 30 and May 14, 15…alert!  Tis your chart that gets the “Pow” from the word power.  Enjoy it?  Survive it? Use it!!!! These are waves, folks…you can either grab your surf board and ride, or you will be overtaken by them!

Luna in Virgo today is having quite a few diverse conversations.  She’s a bit contentious with Pluto in Sag (square at 3:46 p.m.) and we might feel her bristle as we pass her at this party of life.  Venus in Scorpio grabs her and brings her to the powder room and says, “Honey, don’t let him get to you!” and sooths her with her sextile at 6:14 p.m.  Girlfriends!  What would we do without them?  But her best aspect of the day is with our busy friend, Mars.  Luna in Virgo trines Mars in Taurus at 6:22 p.m.  He’s taking off retrograde and she decides to leave the party with him.  She hangs her, “Void” sign on the door, and they go to a little ‘underground’ pub on the retrograde side of town.  Good jazz there, and their conversation about the meaning and motives of society in the 2000’s is so exciting, they are in an other world.  Humm…for the rest of us, their energy will inspire us to rent a ‘deep and meaningful’ movie and spend the night in reverie!  Or hey, we could join them at the jazz club!  It IS Saturday night!

Luna’s taken off, but she is not the last planet to make an aspect tonight.  At 7:23 p.m., our lovely Sun in Libra is in a strong and powerful place today, he is supported by a sextile to Saturn.

Libras…you have not had the easiest times the last couple of years.  Yes, it has been ‘de-lovely’ having Jupiter in your Sun sign.  You have been rewarded, stretched and you’ve grown, but until July 16th when Saturn left Cancer, Saturn was blocking you at every turn!!  Frustration!  It was the Universe playing the scene out from Charlie Brown and the football.  Remember that Lucy always said that she would hold it for Charlie and then at the last minute she pulled it away, and he went ‘plunk’ on the ground?  Well, until recently, that was your story.  From June of ’03 until this last July 16th.  BUT NOT ANY MORE!!!  Saturn will sextile your sun sign until September of 07!  This is a time of opportunity, creativity, support and prosperity!  Of course, your participation is, as always, necessary…but the stars are with you, lovely Libras!!

Okay, the last aspect of the day is from Venus.  Remember she left Luna in the powder room?  Well, Luna was having a sweet trine with Mars, and maybe Venus got jealous?

Who knows with these touchy titans!  I just know that at 7:46 p.m. Venus is out in the parking lot having an opposition to Mars—and it’s not pretty!  Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Taurus—two fixed signs—there will be no ‘winners’ to this argument!  Still, lover’s quarrels are rather exciting, sparks are likely to spill over on us mortals and, as I mentioned, it IS a Saturday night!  This aspect will be felt in a ‘hubba, hubba’ way…cool!  (Or should I say, ‘hot’?)

All things considered, adding up these aspects, if I were younger, I’d head out for music and dance and conversation—if you want some excitement in your lives, join our celestial crew out for a sparky night…it is ‘scored’ for love and excitement!!

Sunday….

Well…everyone must have taken my advice, as today, Sunday, there are NO exact aspects!  Exhausted, eh? 

The only thing going on is that Luna has decided to leave her Void.  She has an opportunity to go to the Libra Spa, and restore balance, and she’s going to take it.  She’s got a ‘mud bath’ restorative pack on her face (or is that Monday’s eclipse?) …ah, once again, jumping ahead…let’s let her and the whole celestial crew just ‘chill’.  It IS a Sunday, and I suggest we all do the same. 

Day of rest, day for replenishment, day of spirit….it’s up to us to receive the healing ‘Chi’ that the Universe sends us.  Wishing you excitement, play, energy…and then relaxation, grounding, and replenishment.  It’s what life is all about….experiencing the whole spectrum!!!
