This is one of those days when I would love to wax long and poetically about an aspect that is happening as we speak, but due to the influence of that aspect I slept in and have little time left to ‘wax’ at all.

That aspect is lovely, hypnotic conjunction of the Moon and Venus, (which occurred in Scorpio exactly yesterday at 10:00 pm while I was busy ranting about Neptune and the state of the world, sorry!)

These two lovely Diva’s are still sailing along side each other today, though, and they both will move into the same new sign, Sagittarius, within hours of each other.  With this conjunction, they exert their own special dreamy influence, which I hold personally responsible for the fact that I overslept.  After all, what is more sensual to an over-fifty human than the early morning ‘just a few minutes more’ re-sleep, that gives us those floaty dreams and intoxicating alpha waves?  Of course there is a price to pay—pleasure always comes with a price—and that is that TIME, scarce and minimal a commodity as it is, dwindles down to a few spare moments for these writings.

So, I will be succinct!  (Something new for me)  In a nutshell;

At 12:28 a.m…..first action of the day, our Luna escapes from the confrontational fixed-sign world into the fire…Sagittarius fire, that is!  She does have one more tussle to go through to get to the sweet connections she has booked for the day.  Always in mutable aspect, she must first square Uranus, who hangs out around the 8th degree of Pisces lately (smoking on the street corner, just waiting to cause something controversial, like Katrina!)  This will occur at 8:15 a.m. (er, shall I say ‘occurred’?)  Was going to add ‘Drive Safely!’ but if you’re here reading this, it is moot, and if you are already on the road, you probably feel it anyway and are busy paying attention!

At 5:31 p.m. on this sweet Friday (and you know I love the Fridays!) Luna will trine Saturn.  Fire to fire, it’s a great energy for the night, and energy is the word!  This aspect, however, is just the hors d’ouvre!  Following on the vapors of this fire trine, Venus is scheduled to slide into her new fire home.  Sag holds the Goddess now, and the quality of our creative expression changes from the smoky sensual Scorpio, to the energetic, electric Sagittarius!  Now, this is not Venus’s most comfortable home.  Sag is too nervous to linger in love’s timeless zone, he just wants to ‘make that connection’ and then get on to doing something practical—all of this lovey dovey stuff just embarrasses him!  He’s out-finessed, however, since Venus is empowered by Luna, Sag or not, it IS Venus’s day! (Friday) so tonight’s a night for love, and that’s all there is to it!

Especially since the last aspect of the day is right up love’s ally.  Our Sun, always a bit perturbed at Luna for taking all of the celestial ‘chi’, will have the last word today.  Just to put  frosting on this day’s dreamy cake, the Sun in Libra will trine Neptune (our star of yester-jour) in Aquarius, and with these harmonious aspects I would suggest that dancing and socializing tonight would be worth your time.  

Okay! Due to TIME constraints, I will leave it there.  You have just dodged a tirade about the news, and that is the gift (I’m sure) from the Venus/Moon conjunction, and the Sun/Neptune trine.  You got to avoid the unpleasantries, move into rapturous ‘denial’ and enjoy the beauty of the world around you, without worrying about the ill state of the collective consciousness!  It’s always much more fun in the celestial illusion, than the human one.
