Well, it’s always a big deal when a planet other than the Moon moves into a different sign. (No offense, Luna, its just that you are moving around all the time!)

Today, at 10:15 a.m. Mercury will move into Scorpio.

Mercury has been sailing through the sign of Libra since the 20th of September, trying as it might to bring some of its famous balance and fairness to our collective minds. 

Now Grasshoppers, you remember that Mercury is the planet of communication and transportation.  Scorpio is another one of those crustacean water-sign creatures (scorpion) that are guarded and mysterious.  Water signs are so protective, you have to ‘read’ their body language, since what you will get when you ask questions is ‘Name, rank and serial number’!

With Mercury in this interesting and enigmatic sign, we are all invited to take a moment to pause, be quiet, and listen to each other—but more importantly, to listen ‘between the lines’!  In the world of politics, this will be an interesting transit, as Mercury in Libra brought a rash of indictments to ‘Those Who Rule’ and Merc in Scorpio will either bring their ‘secrets’ to the fore, or Scorpio’s protective covert qualities will be used to find the exact ‘wiggle’ clause that will protect these ‘secrets’ at all cost.  Either way, it will be (as usual) spectacular entertainment, if you don’t mind watching an ‘end of the world’ saga.

The rest of the weekend is Luna’s alone.

She hangs out in Sagittarius all day today, leaving for her Void at 11:20 p.m. Until then she has a great time with her friends in air signs, Neptune, Jupiter and the Sun, and she sextiles them each in turn, all today.  Remember, a sextile is an aspect of cooperation and support and this will give our emotions a feeling of openness.  In spite of this Mercury thing, these sextiles will give us an upbeat Saturday!

Hey, Scorpios—I know you’re sick of hearing how secretive you are.  Some of you are out front, up front and communication wizards—so please understand that what I am talking about is not personal, but the part of our collective psyches that guards the ‘secrets’ for us all.  You know, like the BIG SECRET, which is, of course, what we’re doing here, why we’re here and where we go when we’re not here.  It’s such a big, well guarded secret, that to this day, no one knows!  So that’s what I’m talking about—but of course, Scorpio being in charge of THAT secret, it does it so well that it also gets to be responsible for ALL secrets and that has to do with the Diddly stuff, like Karl Rove’s leaks and Tom Delays money laundering.  These don’t seem like such big deals when you put them next to “What is the meaning of life?” But its all the same to Scorpio!

Sunday

Now, Luna is so into this sextile thing, that when she moves into Capricorn at 5:43 a.m., she decides that she will keep this energy rolling!  She makes connections today to the brand new Mercury in Scorpio, which she will sextile at 8:10 a.m. and Uranus in Pisces much later in the day, at 6:32 a.m.  She has left the crisp energy of air, and in her receptive, feminine home of Capricorn, she brings her support and attention to the creative and intuitive, and if you are in any way engaged in an artistic enterprise, you will be delighted with this energy today.

Well, another week has circled around to completion here on Tara Firma.  As always, it’s a great adventure.  Hope yours was lovely—or at least, interesting!  We can enjoy anything if we get in the right state of mind!  After all, that’s why Wes Craven and Stephen King have such successful careers!
