Clutching my coffee, I turn on my computer and I tune in to the daily stars. I see that at this very minute, Mercury is squaring Pluto. Then I look out the window and I see Mercury squaring Pluto—it’s hail!
Torrents of frozen water plummet down and smack the sidewalk. My nervous old dog, Cha Cha trembles and whines and won’t leave my side, and the cats scatter like billiard balls! Trust me—with hail hurling down and a weird lighting in the sky, and Mercury squaring Pluto, you really don’t want to read the news headlines, you will be convinced (as was I ) that Nostradomas and Edgar Cayce were talking about today and the end of the world is nigh.
Just in case today isn’t the end of the world, we need to prepare for the up-and-coming retrograde Mercury which is scheduled to begin on Thursday at high noon!
Even if my brand new printer hadn’t stopped working yesterday, and my clothes dryer hadn't refused to produce enough heat, I would STILL have realized that Merc was retro-ing after I drove to Santa Rosa. Mudslides blocked the road, people were making the most, er, creative driving choices (you don’t want to know) and my engine poured out gusts of black smoke. (That can’t be good) but I did live through the experience and I just chalked it up to the Merc/Retro approach.
When an aspect is about to happen, it is often stronger than when it happens. This, I believe, is because the impending energies are concentrated, and when the exact aspect occurs, it disperses those energies! I just made that up, but I do think it might be so.
Anyway, I am going to post this early today just in case the electricity goes out ( A little paranoid, but under the circumstances.......) be aware that there are intense influences abounding (both aspect-wise and weather-wise) so drive safely, take care of your machines, (pull over when they billow smoke) and ‘visualize’ calm.
It’s just the End of the World. Again.

Daily Stars
Moon enters Pisces @ 1:56 a.m.
Moon in Pisces square Mars in Gemini @ 9:44 a.m.
Moon in Pisces conjunct Sun in Pisces @ 4:31 p.m.
Moon in Pisces conjunct Uranus in Pisces @ 6:40 p.m.
Sometimes the aspects absolutely match the weather.
With a major three ‘planet’ alignment in Pisces, it seems perfect to see the rain streaming down from the sky.
Water, water everywhere today, but not just from the weather—the Sun & Moon & Uranus are aligned in Pisces and Jupiter (of course) is in Scorpio, so no doubt those moody-making ‘celestial microwaves’ and the current weather system’s ‘barometric acrobatics’ will have us feeeeeling our feelings today, big time!
You remember, of course, that when the Sun and the Moon are both in the same sign and conjunct (see Daily Stars 4:31 p.m.) that that means that it is a New Moon. Since this New Moon is in the Last Sign, Pisces, it is the point of Alpha and Omega—beginning meets ending. One whole lunar year has come and gone, and today we say good by to the zodiac of 2005-6. Soon we will have a spring equinox to celebrate, but before then we need to complete whatever is left incomplete, unaligned, and unfinished from our Zodiac year before we reach the end of Pisces. It is good to 'finish' before you start. What will make the fresh start of spring better for you if you have this out of the way? (Hint: great time to clean cubboards, write letters, do paperwork, etc!) That ahhhh feeling allows all parts of you return home, and you will NEED yourself when spring comes!
This Sun/Moon alignment in Pisces is not alone today. Remember that every month (since the spring of ’02) when the Moon returns to Pisces, Luna has a ‘date’ to conjunct Uranus and have a wild time. That wild three-planet-within-one-degree aspect happening this afternoon is just in time for Marti Gras!! Perfect! Since this aspect stirs feelings that are wild, emotional, colorful, crazy, and out of the box, how perfect it would be to be in that once-great city and stir those Pagan emotions up and out of our psyches!
For the rest of us who are not in New Orleans, those aspects will still be in the air!
Whether you are dancing on the streets, or your nerves are dancing inside your water-sack skins, the energy of today shakes and spills and demands you pay attention to it!
Clean those cubboards then put on your dance shoes and move till your skin pours water into the air! Now THAT'S how to do an Alpha/Omega New Moon!

Hey Guys!
I tried and tried, but each time I re-read what I had written for this weekend’s Dujour, I would just say, “Huh?”
I think that it must be Luna in Aquarius, heading for a conjunction to Neptune, the ‘spacey’ planet. I must be practicing for that conjunction early.
So, since all I can seem to get out of the Dujour part of my brain this morning is the word, “No.”, I will simply put those Daily Stars up for your information, and wish you all a happy weekend. Spacey can be fun if you do not expect too much of yourself. Sometimes you just need to give it a rest.

Moon in Capricorn conjunct Venus in Capricorn @ 4:22 p.m.
Moon in Capricorn sextile Mercury in Capricorn @ 4:58 p.m.
Well, as the world continues its funny game of inhalation, we can see that those planets have an entirely different Friday theme in mind. There’s a Venus/Moon conjunction today, and these two lovey-dovey gals are traveling in a sweet sextile to Jupiter, as well. I was feeling their nurturing influence all morning; in spite of this email that Audrey sent reporting that Diebold was coming to California. I had been worried that this plague would hit at some point, and it appears that the time has come.
Diebold, you recall, manufactures the voting machines that always comes up “Republican”, no matter which button you push. Sigh. If you have the ‘Chi’ for it, go to http://cardinalstarsystems.com/special/goodtoknow.html and read all about it.
But you know what, it is Friday, Freya’s day and when I drove Sky to school, the blue sky and blooming Acacia trees (it’s lovely to NOT be allergic!) just lifted me up to Nirvana. Oh, yeah, and I was listening to a fabulous CD, made by my wonderful friend Frosene singing Mediterranean music in a Greek band. All the way up and back taking my son to the High School I just blasted it full volume! It was truly one of those Venus-Moon moments.
That’s why when I got home and read about Deibold, I thought to myself (with my wrist on my forehead), “I’ll protest tomorrow”! Today I’m going to practice good old American Denial, and enjoy the Acacias, Moon and Venus, Music and Jupiter!
Planetary advice for the day?
Hop in your car, plunk on music that stirs your soul, and head for the country. Spring and Freya are in the air! Choose happiness! (We'll deal with Diebold tomorrow.......!)

Moon enters Capricorn @ 12:16 a.m.
Moon in Capricorn sextile Sun in Pisces @ 8:42 a.m.
Mercury in Pisces sextile Venus in Capricorn @ 2:16 p.m.
Moon in Capricorn sextile Uranus in Pisces @ 5:58 p.m.
Pam wrote me yesterday freaked out by the latest news. The news she spoke of was the fact that we have given our ports over to a foreign government. Of course I promptly wrote a long Dujour filled with my cynical thoughts and have already pushed the cathartic ‘delete’ button. I was frustrated with my mind and my fears and I knew that they were counter-productive to achieving any personal power, which is all that we have and what we must hold on to in order to make change happen.
But, Pam, to answer your question, I really DO NOT think this whole story will just ‘go away’ This story, which is full of secrets and elitism, is the essence of how W operates. George Bush IS heading for changing aspects, and even though everyone in his country is suffering greatly from his actions, he has taught us much.
He has shown us just how powerful one person can be and how quickly something as (seemingly solid) as a government can dissolve! I know, I know, W is only the face. There is a TEAM of destructo-commandos behind him and his actions, but what we are seeing is the influence of this one man’s karma! George W. Bush is all about separation, and it does not matter whether you are loyal to this man or not, you must admit that he has deeply divided this country. Not only THAT but divided the WORLD and FAMILIES. This is why the neo-CONS do not like the United Nations. Or, Congress or the Senate, for that matter—they are monarchs of an empire that operates in isolation and in secret. Divide and conquer.
So my thoughts on this issue bring my ponderings back to Uranus in Pisces.
Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. At the end (of anything), we summarize and process and harvest. Pisces is the collective unconscious mind. Uranus is the awakener!
All of these events ‘add up’. Our subconscious gathers and watches and even if our conscious mind is addicted to our personal opinion, our collective unconscious is no dummy.
Bush succeeded this far because we are all too overwhelmed with this chaotic life we live to think about what it takes to take care of each other (and Nature). He succeeded because he said we could have everything and give nothing. He will fail for those same reasons. It doesn’t feel good (and it isn’t real) to think that we are separate. When an iceberg falls in the Arctic, it DOES influence the weather in the Bahamas.
Nature knows that we are ALL ONE. When WE know this, in our conscious minds, then the change that we all hope for will occur. Till then, every night, we will be treated to more and more of these stories….waiting until our sub-conscious collective minds have gathered enough to tip those scales!

DAILY STARS
Moon in Sagittarius goes Void @ 6:05 p.m.
Moon in Sagittarius sextile Neptune in Aquarius @ 3:07 a.m.
Moon in Sagittarius square Mercury in Pisces @ 10:17 a.m.
Moon in Sagittarius conjunct Pluto in Sagittarius @ 6:05 p.m.
Astrology is quite illuminating in hindsight.
My computer went completely schizoid this morning. From the moment I first caressed its little keypad, it has taken me on a jolly romp! Pressing and clicking and re-clicking, I found myself locked in mortal combat with this mechanical torturer. Wondering if today’s sky climate might bring info to bear upon my circumstances, I cast a chart and I find what I always find; indeed it did! Check out the Moon/Mercury square which is impending (to be exact at 10:17 a.m.) and recall that there is a Mercury/Uranus conjunction going on (it is wide, but it is there) and add the Sun in Pisces, (er, still feeling and being influenced by that square to Mars) and voila, you have the perfect recipe for a ‘Mercury retrograde’ wannabe! Maybe since Mercury will be slip-sliding backwards quite soon (March 2) he is just ‘practicing’? Humm….I think I will just tread cautiously around all of my mechanical allies this morning no matter—seems like prudence is called for.
Other news in those Daily Stars, note that by the end of the day our Luna will be celestially skating side-by-side with Pluto our outpost sentry.
Pluto, remember, lives on the dark, most remote edge of our solar system, and his influence customarily inclines us to thoughts about our fragile mortality. Are we watching the news again? I won’t even go into it (actually I DID go into it, but of course have already deleted) but if your mind swerves in the direction of angst and fear realize that this dance of Luna & Pluto’s will be long over by tomorrow, and our illusion of immortality will be returned to us!
Till then, I am looking out my window at a crisp, sunny spring day in Sonoma. Whether my mind is tormented by the trivialities of my computer’s early morning adventures, or whether I take a journey into helplessness of living in the most ‘interesting times’ ever recorded, I finally come back to myself and remember that it’s all a dream.
I can just NOT get into it, shift my mind, and just enjoy the sunshine. It’s MY option! Co-incidentally, after re-booting my computer, it’s working just fine.

Daily Stars
Moon in Sagittarius
Moon in Sagittarius trine Saturn in Leo @ 5:36 a.m.
Moon in Sagittarius square Uranus in Pisces @ 1:28 p.m.
Sorry about being ‘MIA’ yesterday, I was deep into the Scorpio Moon/Jupiter conjunction—and you know what that's about-- getting my taxes together!
I have been ‘culling’ through all of my papers for weeks now, getting really serious about the process the last two weekends. This is profoundly unusual for me (for us—Wally is much worse than I am). We are the original ‘extension kids’ and we usually put this tax ritual off until August. (Oh, you didn’t know you could do that, eh? Yes you can!)
I don’t know what got into me this time. I credit Jupiter, who is traveling through my 8th house (it only comes every 12 years, wonder if I could do this again next year?). Jupiter brings energy and ‘fortune’ (for me it is fortunate that I found all of the missing check registers) Jupiter makes things happen. The 8th, remember, is the house of taxes—actually, sex, death, taxes and dreams! (When I was younger, this transit was much more exciting)
Anyway, today with everything finally boxed up and ready to go (and the ability to eat off the kitchen table restored again—haven’t seen the surface of it since New Years Eve) I feel light and free—must be that wonderful Moon trine Saturn! It rewards a ‘job well done’ or in this case, done at all!
Today the sky is a fairly mutable one. The Sun, Mercury, Moon, Mars, Pluto and Uranus are all in mutable signs…it was just a few days ago that it was predominantly fixed, with Mars, the Sun, and Mercury in the other camp! That’s the way it is in Zodiac City, always moving…
So, what this may mean is this—a mutable sky is all about change and working outside of your usual pattern….mutable energy loves to play hooky! In fact, today has whatever you need, there is a wonderful balance of mutable and fixed planets creating our energy grid and these working together give you a flexible, imaginative energy (mutable) with the steady drive to complete (fixed). Hey—you might find it helpful to tackle that tax job, too. (Hopefully something much more fun!) Use it or loose it!

Saturday
Moon in Libra goes Void @ 8:59 a.m. Enters Scorpio @ 9:11 a.m.
Moon sextile Pluto @ 1:58 a.m.
Moon in Libra trine Sun in Aquarius @ 8:59 a.m.
Sun enters Pisces @ 11:26 a.m.
Moon in Scorpio square Saturn in Leo @ 9:11 p.m.
You see the big Astro-event of this weekend Grasshoppers, n’est pas? It is all about our beautiful Sun entering the mystical, sensitive, intuitive, psychic, secretive, intense, emotional, artistic, musical, dramatic sign of Pisces!
Now, Pisces is an absolutely busy, busy water sign these days…what with Mercury and Uranus therein…and now with the entry of The Sun, this transiting celestial duet becomes a trio, and they are all about to make unusual music together!
Why? Well, there is the little matter of Mars. Remember that yesterday Mars entered into Gemini? Well, Gemini is a mutable sign, just like Pisces. This means that they will be traveling in square for the whole month. Er, and since Pluto has been in Sagittarius for years now, and is also a mutable, we have here a real line-up of high wire energy!
Okay, so what’s THAT got to do with anything?
Well, if you are a Pisces, this means that when your birthday comes, and your Solar Return chart for the year is created, you will have a Mars/Pluto/Mercury/Uranus/Sun t-square. EEEEkkkkk!
Yeah, but what does THAT mean?
Well, there are bunches of you beautiful little fishes out there, of every breed and hue. From Rainbow trout to sharks (Dick Chenney has a Pisces Moon), so there is a range of ways to experience these transits, but this is key: whatever sort of fish you are or life you are living, this year’s aspects are designed to stir things up…er, even more than usual! (Just ask Dick)
The aspects are definitely saying, “Your life will NOT be business as usual!”
With that in mind, what, then, do you prefer to change? Change will happen, you can be sure of that—but YOU have a lot to say about where those changes will take place.
Piece of advice: Do what Pisces do so well—create your change from your bliss! Pisces ‘rules’ imagination—use it well!

Daily Stars
Moon in Libra
Moon in Libra trine Neptune in Aquarius @ 8:50 a.m.
Moon in Libra square Venus in Capricorn @ 1:01 p.m.
Mars enters Gemini @ 2:44 p.m.!
Well, as you can see, we have ‘breaking astro-news!” Mars, who has been a kingpin in the grand fixed square that has haunted our ‘heavens’ for the last six months, has left the building today! (At 2:44 p.m. so technically he will leave the building!)
Good news for all fixed-ies, or those who have a significant fixed Moon or strategically placed fixed planet. These signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, and they have been busy, busy zodiacal locals all year. With Mars off the scene, we are back to a mere T-Square rather than a Grand Square, and that means one section is missing. I was told once that a t-square was like a four legged chair with one leg missing! We have had the whole chair, but that often means no mobility. With one leg missing, there is movement, and that’s what a t-square does, it moves! So, for you fixed signs, (those mentioned above) you might just find that things that have been pending get going—buckle up!
Now, when Mars leaves one place it goes on to another. People say ‘is Mars gone’? But I say, ‘go where?’ Where IS there to go—we’re traveling on a circle!
So, Mars will leave the fixed pony that it was riding on the merry-go-round of life and it will hop upon a mutable one, the Gemini pony!
When Mars was in his fixed local, he was squaring Saturn, opposing Jupiter, and squaring Neptune….now in mutable, he will square Uranus, and oppose Pluto—it’s always something!
Mars will remain in Gemini, creating significant influence on communication and transportation issues, until April 14—hey—maybe this year I WILL get my taxes together before deadline—in which case for me, Mars hanging out in Gemini will be time well spent!

Moon in Libra
Moon in Libra sextile Saturn in Leo
I did it again!
I spent all morning going on and on about Karl Rove and his new catch phrase that is so popular with all of the Neo-Cons these days (plays well at target audiences) the phrase is, of course, “I take full responsibly”.
It is interesting to note, however, that they make “take” responsibility, but they don’t DO anything with it, nothing has happened to change their actions. Katrina people are still homeless (and being evicted by the Government as we speak) people are still being tortured (many who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time—and are kids!) and domestically raised birds are still being shot in mass slaughter (although Dick Cheney is sorry about shooting his buddy, he’s not embarrassed in the least to shoot 400 unarmed birds! Wassup with that?)
Anyway, I went blah, blah, blah as I do, and it’s late now, as it gets, and I really can’t put this stuff up, although I feel much better now (thanks) but here’s the thing:
Moon’s in Libra, its time to create balance. Mars is at the last degree of Taurus, it’s time to face our fears.
Then, unlike the Neo-Cons, we can actually DO something about them!

Moon in Virgo goes Void @ 7:21 p.m. Enters Libra @ 9:06 p.m.
Moon in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius @ 1:37 p.m.
Moon in Virgo trine Mars in Taurus @ 7:21 p.m.
In true Mercury/Uranus fashion, my psyche has flipped from yesterday’s long loving Dujour, to today’s reaction to the Moon/Pluto square—in other words, overwhelm! That’s the way it IS with minds, they change. Maybe it’s a Valentine’s day hangover? I mean, I really didn’t eat tooo much of that chocolate, but yes, I did eat some. That said, I leave you with this:
The Moon/Pluto square: very stressful, exhausted, ‘too-much-ness’, and I don’t think its just me. Go easy.
The Mars/Moon trine, later this afternoon; this brings salvation! A great way to end the day, we all might just perk up and get our ducks in a row (but for Goddess sake, we can’t let Dick Cheney near them!)
Take it easy today if you can, re-schedule those extra activities tomorrow, when there is the (potential) of Libra balance!
