Okey Dokey, you can all see by the three sets of Daily Stars, that I will be persona non grata for the next three days! Got myself a house full of sisters comin’—my beloved Wally has FIVE of them, and FOUR of them will be arriving today, and I really don’t think my mind will work past the point of their arrival!
Today, March 10, is a really, really special day here in the Brueske household. It is the day of birth of my dearly loved mother in law, Martha Brueske. She’s a beauty, she’s savvy, she’s sassy and we are all gathering here to celebrate the fact that she has been the ‘doorway’ to our lives here on the Red Brick Road of Life. I say ‘our’ since without Martha, there would be no Wally, and of course no Gabe or Sky, and that’s MY life! Who know’s WHO I would have been without them?
Do you all get caught up in that ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ reverie, where you wonder if just ONE significant person were never met or born, just what your life would have been? Well, I shutter to think of my life without Martha!
As I put those daily stars up on line for your information, I see that Luna will be traveling in Leo for the next few days, and that’s just perfect for the Martha Fest! Hail to the Queen!
For all of the rest of us here in the Kingdom, we will be picking our way through fixed squares and mutable conjunctions—it’s a jungle out there! The aspects, intense and exciting, are along the lines of the recent weather pattern—variable, variety-rich and full of unexpected last-minute twists! Just remember the mantra of ‘soon to be spring’ weather—things change, stay flexible, and you will have a great weekend!
I’m off to party—‘see’ ya Monday!

Wow! Look at the grand trine that occurred at 3:00 am in Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio! Talk about ‘water city’—did you sail in your dreams?
Water, remember, is all about ‘emotions’. Think about that word—the root of it is motion, so this is a moving, fluid part of our selves, not at all static or set in its ways. Of all of the parts of us, our emotions are the part that we can most easily transform. Think of the difference of healing a broken heart, rather than, say a broken leg!
I know, I know, it’s not always that easy to heal that broken heart, and if given a choice, most people would pick the broken leg. However, my point is that the broken heart can change in a heartbeat, but the catch is, you must have the co-operation of the one you love. If you do, I know the magic words that work every time—and they do in a blink of an eye! Just what is this miracle phrase?
You look your companion directly in the eyes, and with sincerity you say,
“I could be wrong”.
After administrating this powerful healing word-balm, there will be an immediate opening in both parties’ hearts. While those hearts remain open, all emotions are receptive to magical transformative properties. Change can now occur almost instantly. Try it!
As a matter of fact, if we are aware of the nature of our own feelings, we can have this same influence upon our own selves. I have done this and many times!
Those times when I have driven myself crazy, can not sleep or am in a total brain clog, a tiny voice breaks through my wildly animated e(Motion)al inner climate, and with by adminstrating the message that my worst fears might not actually, say, be TRUE, there is a calming influence that alters my inner terrain.
The key here is the word influence. What we ‘feed’ our mind, is what it is made of. We are what we ‘eat’.
So, that in mind, I was reading Maya del Mar’s astrological message this morning (she’s terrific!) www.daykeeperjournal.com and she recommended a magazine that reports all of the good news about fantastic scientific and ‘green’ projects that are being done (and succeeding) and all of the ways humans are working together to make a difference in each others lives. Imagine! It is, appropriately called, Yes, www.yesmagazine.org and I suggest you give it a look. I am sending in my subscription payment, I want to contribute to the vision of our potential, rather than constant awareness of our (obvious) species shortcomings.
Anyway, YES to today…as I write, the sun is shinning. You never know—it's California, close to spring, and there's a grand trine in water, so things change.
So I say Yes to the sun and Yes to the rain—now, no matter what happens, I win, and that’s good emotional support for my mind!

Moon in Cancer
Moon in Cancer trine Uranus in Pisces @ 12:17 p.m.
These things get passed around the internet all the time.*** Isn’t that great? We would otherwise not have the opportunity to read (or re-read) them.
Speaking with a client yesterday, she quoted this message to me…(maybe she just got a copy in an email?) or maybe she remembered it from long ago. The part that impressed her was the not trying to hang on to the shore, but to give yourself to the water, and to see who was in the river with you. Synchronistically, (of course) Audrey sent it to me this morning. The Moon, Jupiter, Mercury and Uranus are all floating in the water element, and consequently, I have been saturated in overwhelm. Receiving this message ‘from the past’ refreshed me, so to encourage and inspire you (rather than bring you down into the watery reverie of my overwhelm) I give you this message from a Hopi Elder as your Dujour:
***A Hopi Elder Speaks:
"You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour. Now you must go back and tell the people that it is the Hour and there are things to be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth. Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for the leader."
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled and said, "This could be a good time! The river is flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will know they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open and our heads above water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and the journey comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word 'struggle' from your attitude and vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we've been waiting for.

By the way....speaking of tribe and being in the water with those you care about....must take this opportunity to wish my good friend and cosmic sister a very happy birthday---Beautiful McKenzie, wish you sweet journeys this year! (for those of you who have been here for a reading, McKenzie is the remarkable artist who created the mural in the bathroom--all of those wonderful critters, and flowers...!)

Moon goes Void in Gemini @ 8:09 a.m. Enters Cancer @ 2:38 p.m.
Moon in Gemini square Mercury in Pisces @ 5:34 a.m.
Moon in Gemini oppose Pluto in Sagittarius @ 8:09 a.m.
I’m free-falling with Luna in Gemini this morning (she has just gone ‘void’ and will be disconnected until she enters Cancer this afternoon at @2:38) and my emotions have followed her into the void. The thing is, this is my monthly Lunar Return time.
Just before the moon returns to the place that it was when you were born, it is in its balsamic phase, that darkest place ‘before the dawn’. I never really noticed how vulnerable this time was for me before I began writing Dujour—a diary for me, of sorts. It is at this time that the state of my finances, the world’s problems, the absolute hopelessness of it all take a hold of my mind and I wallow in the existential angst of the human experience. With my wrist turned to my forehead, I wail. I should write this day on my calendar and forbid myself to listen to the news or write a check while I'm Balsamic. Of course, this is the time when I’m most attracted to that front page of horrors, and I pour over the stories, fascinated by the misery. Humans! What a species!!
There are eight stages of the moon, each spanning 45 degrees of the zodiac. The last 45 degrees before where your moon was when you were born, is your balsamic stage. If you know your moon sign, you are in the balsamic approximately a day or so before the moon returns to your sign. If, for example, your moon were…er, say, 19 degrees Capricorn, Luna would be Void from the 11th degree of Sagittarius (the sign before Capricorn, of course) until it conjuncted your moon at 19 degrees Capricorn. You would then enter your New Moon period for the next 45 degrees.
Look at your charts, Grasshoppers, and make a note of it! Which day that month will hold this transit? (Some of this time you will sleep through, thank goodness!) After a while, you will see your pattern.
For me, this is when I just say, “I give UP!”, which is fairly Buddhist of me. Should have done that anyway! Do you think that is what these emotions are for, letting go?
Of course my mind immediately says, ‘let go and go where?’ and then I’m off to the Void again, pondering the meaninglessness of existence. Oh, well…it’s always something!

Moon in Gemini—1st Quarter Moon
Moon in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces @ 2:45 a.m.
Moon in Gemini square Sun in Pisces @ 12:16 p.m.
Moon in Gemini trine Neptune in Aquarius @ 4:27 p.m.
Let me say that this morning, I have been SO Mercury retrograde—in a good way!
I woke up with the thought that my site really needed some attention.
I found the instructions that the Goddess of Cyberspace, lovely Dianna had given me, drank an extra cup of coffee (needed the clarity) and went to work putting all of January, February and the first week of March in the Dujour Archives!!!
Now, of course, with Mercury being retrograde, my computer decided to be very ur, creative about how the days would be divided and arranged. The scroll thingy has a mind of its own so (if you care and want to look something up) things are quite uneven. For example, the 3rd of February is divided in half, and straddles two sections. I actually didn’t realize that until the deed was done. Most likely this stuff is not relevant after the fact anyway!
In fact, as I was going back over the past, I saw how many rants and rages had come to naught. We can huff and puff all we want, but yesterday’s news is just that, unless we get the system down that the Republican News Machine has perfected—you put something in the news over and over and over and over again! Life is too fast to worry it, unless it is repeated on the nightly news.
In retrospect, as we think over the ‘doings’ of the Clinton years, and we compare ‘The Big Event’ to all of the terror, death, graft, cruelty and destruction that has happened since then, we see just how silly it is to get upset that a president has an affair! Looking back, we realize how much we were all manipulated by the slant of HOW the stories were told, and HOW OFTEN they were told. If you want something memorized, you need to repeat it! By the way, I never cared about what Bill Clinton did with his ‘off’ time; I always figured it was none of my business. I was REALLY upset when he signed in NAFTA and the Welfare ‘Reform’ program, and THAT’S when I stopped voting for him. If nothing else, W has given me a new appreciation for Bill, doncha miss that man?
Yeah, so as I spent my morning archiving yesterday’s news, I realized that the stuff that ‘held up’ was the astrology stuff, of course. Politics ‘spoils’ quickly!
Speaking of things that are relevant for only a short while and then change, what about those Oscars?
Mercury, being what it is and where it is, decided to spice up the academy experience and influenced our TV to go fritzoid just as Robert Altman was receiving his lifetime award. Wires were jiggled and eventually all was healed, but it was touch and go there for a while!
Of course, it was a real Mercury/Jupiter coup to give the golden statue to Crash, which I loved and favored, but to tell you the truth, it was because it was one of only a handful of these movies that I have actually seen. It’s a fab movie, Crash, it just sticks with you. The message it sends is a terrific one: “Ya just never know!!!” People are always different than you think, (which you find out right away when you study a birth chart!) so it is wise to suspend judgment.
It looks to be an interesting week. We begin it on the first quarter moon, which is a good moon to handle and grow and resolve things. Remember, Mercury and Jupiter are retrograde (Saturn, too!) so we are growing ‘internally’, perhaps by completing any unfinished business we need to finish?
I was just wrapping this up, when TV helicopters flying overhead, reported that the Napa levees had broken! Holy repeat! So water signs retrograding, glub, glub, blub….guess we see what we need to go back over and ‘finish up’ and fix!!
If you don’t get a Dujour tomorrow, I’m off to The Yellow Submarine! Stay dry!
