Interesting. I hit Google News this a.m. (sorry, you know I’m trying to quit) and I am immediately fascinated by the story of the approaching storm Wilma, the first ‘W’ storm on record, ahem. A thought hits my mind (plink) I wonder, “How close is the Moon to the sign of Gemini?” You do remember, Grasshoppers that the last TWO storms, Katrina and Rita happened when the Moon was in Gemini, right?
Well, guess what???? Yeah, (gulp) the Moon hits Gem this evening, and in two days it will be at the same degrees of Gemini it was when the last two storms hit land!
Remember that the USA’s Mars is located in late Gemini? Each time (since this September when Katrina hit) that the Moon has come back to Gemini, we (here in the US) have experienced a devastating storm. The storms seem to straddle the Gemini/Cancer cusp. The USA, you recall, is a Cancer. Amazing, huh? Well, we’ll watch this one and see—the third time makes ‘a theory’.
It is quite difficult as a single, little, non-power-holding humanoid to sit and watch things crumble all around us. What’s a humanoid to DO? Well, funny you should ask…..
There IS a ‘special election’ coming up soon. This election, called for by our Governator is all about the possibility of a complete corporate ‘take over’ of California politics. Arnie is betting that most of us will shine it on, and that the corporations will slide into victory without a fight. There is MUCH on the line with this election and I encourage you research and vote on all of the issues at hand, but there is a local one for Sonoma County that is VERY, VERY important to understand and vote on. This is Measure M.
VOTE YES ON MEASURE M!
We see storm after storm coming towards us. Hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis—geez, do we think this is an ‘accident’? You know, we have a bit of responsibility to claim here, we HAVE been, err, shall we say, ‘tampering’ with Mom Nature’s equilibrium! Now, we have an opportunity to ‘just say NO, by voting YES’ to the heavily funded, totally LYING corporate world. This world does not own us yet, but it is very close, and if Measure M does not pass, then the likes of Monsanto will have the means to take over our land!
Remember that famous law suit in Canada? It was Monsanto against a farmer whose Organic Farm was invaded by their seeds—genetic mutations—when they blew into his field and took over his OWN crops. He had to PAY them for this invasion! Furthermore, his field has been useless ever since, since Monsanto’s seeds DO NOT PROPIGATE—and after they have been there, will only grow if it has more Monsanto seeds, as others are contaminated and die. This means that if the world blows up and there is no Monsanto, there will no longer be seeds that grow on their own! Hey folks—do you find this as alarming as I do?
Measure M is an attempt to stop genetically engineered farming in Sonoma County! There is MUCH misinformation about this. If you take the time to read and find out EXACTLY what this bill does, I doubt that any one of you—(even my Republican friends!) would agree or approve of it. It will be the death of us.

Well, I still haven’t heard from Michele about that babe. This is not alarming or surprising, I remember being, err, a bit preoccupied when I was giving birth, so I have held off calling or writing—didn’t want to distract. I will let you know when I do. I just think a bit of good news is a good thing—for a change!

Measure M does not ban any existing vaccine or medication, and does not

restaurants, small businesses, nurses, doctors, veterinarians, teachers, and

The opponents of Measure M are saying a lot of alarming things; who can you
believe? Who is behind their million-dollar opposition campaign?
The national Farm Bureau is an insurance seller and lobbying organization -
among the 20 largest in the US. They have financial ties to chemical and
genetic engineering corporations like Monsanto, and have a reputation for
siding with big agro-biz over small farmers. (See:

Opponents of Measure M pretend to be organic farmers. Sonoma County Farm
Bureau ex-president Steve Dutton lists himself in the sample ballot as an
"organic farmer"; in fact, he used more than 21,000 pounds of pesticides on

Opponents of Measure M pretend pretend to be environmentalists. Did you get
a phone call or mailer claiming that Greenpeace is against Measure M? It's a
lie: Greenpeace supports Measure M, and is one of the leading organizations

Opposition spokesperson Patrick Moore is not with Greenpeace - he is paid by

The opponents of Measure M have little regard for the truth. and a lot of
money. They think they can buy this election with slick ads and mailers.
Many of your friends and neighbors don't know these facts. They don't know
who to believe, who to trust - unless you tell them. We need your help - we
can win this fight, if we get the truth out. That takes people, to knock on
doors and make phone calls. Over 90% of Sonoma County voters do not want
