Daily Stars

Moon in Cancer goes void @ 4:33 p.m.

Moon in Cancer trine Uranus in Pisces @ 9:52 a.m.
Moon in Cancer sextile Mars in Taurus @ 12:20 p.m.
Moon in Cancer trine Jupiter in Scorpio @ 4:33 p.m.
Jupiter in Scorpio square Saturn in Leo @ 9:15 p.m.

If you look at the Daily Stars, you will see that it is a very watery day—and the ‘piece d’la resistance of the day is the square between Jupiter and Saturn, which is exact this evening at 9:15 p.m., but we will likely feel it’s effects all day.

Okay, so what’s this mean?  Well, it means that there will be a tendency for us to be caught up in our emotions today, and the Jup/Sat square will likely amplify those feelings and urge us on to expressions of excess!

Not that it takes much for me to hit excess these days.  Any thing is just too much.  It’s like trying to fill a glass that is all ready full, it just spills over.  The most common excess is excess of mind.  A mind can go wild under these aspects, and noting that it is one week from Christmas, it seems like there will be ‘just cause’ for this panic.  This is the sort of aspect that spawns that classic “Christmas dream” (you know, the one that has you wake up on Christmas morning and you realize you forgot it was Christmas and you don’t have presents, or even food in the house—and if we want to get really Freudian about it, all this happens while you’re naked!)

Anyway, this is one of those days that I personally vow to notice what those stars are saying, watch my emotions and my mind, and attempt to stand back and allow myself to feel these feelings without believing in them! (sure) I know I can!  And so can you!

Okay, we have all been forewarned, I am running late, and there is just enough time for me to have a good cry and get some make-up on.

Feel the feelings, watch them float by, don’t eat chocolate…..and enjoy your Friday!

Moon Full in Gemini @ 8:15 a.m. goes void @ 9:11 a.m. enters Cancer @ 8:01 p.m.

Venus enters Aquarius @ 8:00 a.m.
Moon in Gemini oppose Sun in Sagittarius @ 8:15 a.m. (Full Moon)
Moon in Gemini oppose Pluto in Sagittarius @ 9:11 a.m.
Sun in Sagittarius conjunct Pluto in Sagittarius @ 8:09 p.m.

Stellar/Lunar day—and it’s all happening NOW!

Up a little late, I was gifted with a magnificent sight as I stumbled blurry eyed to the kitchen and ground the coffee.  The moon was up, full and golden, and she was setting over our vineyard, which was silver with frost.    The gold and silver glittered like a Christmas card and right then; a rabbit ran over the field!  Uncoffeed as I was, I felt like I was in some sort of Thomas Kincaid painting. I blinked and then Luna disappeared over the mountain.  Wow. Sort of disoriented me!  I was busy this week doing, “Bah, humbug”.  It’s hard to keep that up when the likes of the beauty that I saw upon arising is pushed into your face like a banana cream pie first thing off the bat!

Speaking of beauty—did you notice that while the Moon was a-full-ing, and rabbits were a-hopping, that Venus was moving from deep, earthy Capricorn into fixed, airy Aquarius?  Man, what a moment this is!  As a matter of fact, at the moment of fullness, I was aware that Pluto was (invisibly) in the same spot as Luna, off at the far edges of this solar system.  Venus and Pluto and the Moon—oh, my!  And me without even a sip of java!  Well, that is now rectified, and I sit here full of wonder, as I always feel when Nature, not politics starts my day (haven’t wrecked it by tuning in to Google!).

Venus in Aquarius, by the way Grasshoppers, is not her easiest home.  She is sensual and self involved, Aquarius is cosmic and not really personal.  Now, that is NOT to say that someone born with Venus in Aquarius is not loving and personal, but there is a more, shall we say, aloof characteristic to this aspect.  It is said that Aquarius is not comfortable with the idea of commitment.  This is actually not true, as Aquarius is a fixed sign, and fixed signs love the ‘illusion’ of security.  What is more accurate is that Aquarius does not like restrictions, and it does not take well to ‘rules’.  Aquarius is the ‘rebel’ sign, and when Venus is there, she sings, “Don’t fence me in”!  As long as the illusion of freedom is part of the romance, this aspect is as sensual and passionate as any.  Freedom, remember, has two expressions:  Free “from” and free “to”.  As long as we are free to imagine, then we are free from being trapped by limiting circumstances!  Maintain that vision long enough, and there WILL be a way to achieve it!

Oh, and by the way, about those Full Moon papers….tonight is the night to place that paper under the moonlight so it will be ready to write on, on the FIRST new moon of the new year (November 30th!)   I was asked what to DO with the paper after you have written on it.  Here’s a thought:

What if I remind us all throughout the year, and each month of the 13 moons (starting on 11//30/05) we write our visions and intentions.  Then, at the end of the year, we gather them up, re-read them, see what we have/or have not accomplished, and in ceremony at midnight of New Years Eve, toss them into a ceremonial fire?  Cool!  Anyway, just a thought, but if you want to stay in touch with your sub-conscious, this is the way to do it.   Look at the time, turning into a pumpkin….enjoy the beauty, freedom, creativity and vision of today!

Moon in Gemini

Moon in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces @ 1:13 a.m.
Moon in Gemini sextile Saturn in Leo @ 8:01 a.m.
Moon in Gemini trine Neptune in Aquarius @ 4:39 p.m.

I was thinking about Luna coming around again to Gemini. It struck me that it was the last time she would be in Gemini this year!  In fact, every sign that our beautiful moon will travel through until the 30th of this month, is the last time Luna will light up that sign—she is in completion, she is now traveling the 13th moon!

In Jamie Sams’ (The Animal Cards author—she is a teacher of Native American traditions) book, The Thirteen Clan Mothers, the 13th moon is titled, “Becomes Her Vision” moon, and she is the guardian of all cycles of transformation.

Becomes Her Vision is the mother of change.  Her message is that every lesson and event is there as a means of opportunity for us all to grow and to spiritually evolve.  This moon teaches us that a strong commitment to our chosen path is the way to avoid getting caught in the limits of the illusions around us.  Whatever that path is, whether it is creativity, spirit or personal goal, it is like a life-line in the swirl of illusionary chaos that is this mystical realm that we live in.  Good thing I just read this.  I was adrift in the illusionary chaos, bit time!

When I am flopping around rather beat up by the hopelessness of it all, and I spend just five minutes with my library and look again at all of the wonderful thoughts expressed by teachers from every single ‘Tribe’ of humans who have walked the Red Dirt Road, I  realize that my freak-out is such an unnecessary indulgence.  Truth be told, it is all about being too busy….which is exactly opposite the meaning of the 13th moon.

Okay, I make a commitment today to clear space to just BE.

Okay, now once more how life imitates art, right after I wrote that last statement, I read further down in Jamie Sams’ book and this is what she says:

“Becomes Her Vision teaches the Human Tribe that the ultimate transforming vision is the decision to simply BE. (I kid you not, that’s what she wrote) During our spiritual evolution we tend to place labels on who or what we want to become.  We usually discover that we don’t need labels; we can become our visions by being who and what we are at any given moment.  The decision to be all things and nothing takes away the labels that limit our sense of wholeness.  All of Creation lives inside and outside of every human being.  Becomes Her Vision shows us that we are all extensions of the Great Mystery’s dream, as well as tangible, living examples of the visions that we have created to express the Self.”

Hey, I couldn’t have said it any better myself!  Enjoy this day in the Realm of the 13th Moon, on the Day before she is Full, and during these chaotic times, don’t loose sight of your own divinity!

Moon in Taurus goes void @ 10:46 a.m. enters Gemini @ 11:59 a.m.

Moon in Taurus trine Venus in Capricorn @ 10:46 a.m.
Moon in Gemini oppose Mercury in Sagittarius @ 2:00 p.m.

A few years back, I found the ultimate birthday present for my Buddhist husband.  I got him an electronic prayer wheel!

You all know about prayer wheels, right?  They are cylindrical containers that contain miles of prayers all scrolled up inside of them, prayers from the simple ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’ to more elaborate writings that pray for the salvation of all sentient beings.  As you twirl the wheels around, all of the prayers scrolled inside the cylindrical container are carried to the four corners of the earth!  It is a wonderful thought, and, like prayer flags, very inclusive, beautiful and hopeful.

The one that I got Wally is a simple little container, and inside the cylinder is the typical miles of prayers in Sanskrit, but this wheel twirls unceasingly—for 24 hours a day!!!  The catch is, it takes four D batteries, and I am chagrinned to tell you all, what with the square from Mercury to my Saturn and all, I let the batteries run out.  Do you think that that is what has brought the world to this level?

I have been fairly paralyzed lately.  Everything has knocked me flat.  Last night when the State of California murdered Tookie Williams, it just felt like the last straw for me. The rest of the world saw that here in the most violent country in the world (not MY words, but actual, statistical fact) we somehow feel it is a GOOD thing to execute our Nobel Peace Prize candidates.  Hum..

You know, I am someone who believes that if Tookie had money, he would not have been executed.  Actually, with money, he probably would have been elected.  At the very least, he would be Secretary of Defense.  He always held true to the fact that he did not commit this crime.  Whether he did or did not is actually not the issue.  The issue is, who are WE after WE have killed him?

Of course you know we kill each other all the time.  It is called WAR, and we wrap it in the convent package of ‘patriotism’, but dead is still dead.  Stories of soldier’s remorse are many and far too frequent.  The question is how do we LIVE, AFTER an event of ‘Karma’?  In other words, after something happens to us that we may regret, is there such a thing as redemption?

Is there a thing called forgiveness?  Does peace really follow revenge?  We will never know, but one thing is certain.  Tookie did not wage war on an unarmed country, killing thousands and thousands of fellow humans.  The speculation is 150,000, and the president WILL admit to 30,000…which is progress, since it is the first time he ever included Iraqis in ANY estimate concerning the death count.  No, what Tookie did with most of his life was write books, and he wrote them for an entire generation of children, trying to help them avoid the life he came to live.  How do you think those children will feel about this?  Do we hope by this act of state-sectioned murder to frighten those children into submission?  I think rather than that, they will be fueled to further violence….and the beat goes on…….

The only thing I know for sure, is that wherever Tookie is right now, he is where WE will all be, sooner than any of us can even imagine.  Life is short, and personally, I have a really, really hard time imagining that “God” is a white Republican, born-again angry dude with a blood lust and a hobby of revenge.  It does not compute.

As for Tookie, I’m sure he is just fine….it is all of us here that will suffer.  Black children will know that the genocide of their race continues, and that “Justice” is color blind.  That’s the Earth reality and here on Earth we are here still dealing with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and George W. Bush, but Tookie is free with spirit.  Go in peace, Tookie.

Moon in Taurus

Moon in Taurus square Saturn in Leo @ 1:21 a.m.
Moon in Taurus square Neptune in Aquarius @ 9:27 a.m.
Mercury enters Sagittarius @ 1:19 p.m.

Well, the big astro-news of dujour is, as you can see, that Mercury (after his retro in Scorpio) is returning to the sign of Sagittarius.

Our minds will go from a fixed, water climate to a mutable fire climate—quite a different terrain.  What does this mean? Well, speaking personally, it means that I have hope that by tomorrow my big ‘writers block’ will pass and I can do a Dujour without the brain freeze that has been my inner mental climate of late.  Mercury in its recent travels through Scorpio has been squaring my Saturn in Leo, so all you have gotten from me is my own opinions, unedited, and delivered by a ‘spew’.  Nothing particularly edifying there, and this being the season when we are heading towards the ‘darkest day of the year’, well we just don’t need more dark thoughts!

So, by tomorrow, hopefully (and I will try not to look at the news, you know how that clogs my mind) I will be able to see past my own mind ….wow, I’ve only been trying to do that for YEARS!

(ps....I saw that the weekend edition that I so dutifully wrote my blocked version of, did not get published....that's so Mercury square Saturn!)

Have a lovely weekend—ca choo!

Daily Stars

Moon in Pisces until 1:02 a.m. when she Enters Aries

Mars SD in Taurus @ 8:04 p.m.
Moon in Aries trine Saturn in Leo @ 8:13 p.m.

Major ‘trippy’ day in the stars, folks….you can see in the Daily Stars that the news of Dujour is that Mars is stationary today, and going direct tonight at 8:04 p.m.!

Mars, good old God of War (humans favorite sport) is on the move forward again—and boy, does Google show it!  Lots and lots of Mars-ey news; a more than usual amount of death, destruction and cruelty, but a couple of stories caught my eye.

Laurel Calsoni sent an article. (I put it in Good to Know---it’s right after the announcement of the Solstice Labyrinth Walk, though…."hope" comes first) The article is about the fact that yesterday, Congress gave themselves and all of the “Top” 1% the permanent tax break that they wanted—you know, it’s just so hard to afford your yacht and your 124th home these days, and this will take their edge off.

But that was just the horse d’ouvre.  Oh, yeah, in addition to the usual bombs, plunder and general suffering, the big news is that tricky Dick (aka Darth Cheney) put a permanent kybosh on US involvement with a new Kyoto Treaty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dick Cheney and the Lizard Kings, ‘100’—Humans ‘Zero’!!! Dick is not only Mars-ing us today; I think he just might Mars us off to extinction! (Who IS this dude?  Why is he trying to destroy planet Earth?)

Yesterday with Mars slowing down for its ‘station’ (when any planet is ready to change directions, it is called a station—whether it is going forward or retrograde) the forces of The Dark Side were on the move.

From Google news today: “The Canadian hosts were reported to have confirmed that the US had rejected a deal to start talks outside the Kyoto track between developed and developing countries to discuss future action on climate change, even though the already anodyne text sanctioning these talks had just been weakened further, now stating that whatever emerged would be entirely non-binding. Rumors have been circulating that any change in the US approach is the result of a direct intervention in the talks by the US vice-president, Dick Cheney, and that this was precisely the result he sought.”

“However, let’s face it; the overall implications are not good. When scientists tell us on a weekly basis that the problem of climate change is worse than we thought, when the damage that will be caused from inaction is so huge, and when the scale and urgency of the challenge ahead is so large, taking pot shots at the proposals on the table here in Montreal is tantamount to playing Russian roulette on a global scale. It’s a game that only the criminally insane could think we can afford to play and win.”

Well, I don’t know about you, but Russian roulette is not my game.

Okay, keep in mind this is a MARS day, and I am being Mars.  Oh, yeah, the Moon is in Aries, too! (Aries rules Mars, so what can I say?) With all of this Martian energy, I am really feeling the anger of my helplessness about the choices made by those who are ‘leading’ our country.  Like many of you, the sense of frustration at having so little control over very big choices that determine the future of the world is beginning to get to me---but I keep forgetting that Mars is a planet noted for being short on patience, and the game is still in its early stages.  In SPITE of their arrogance and misguided sense of power and importance, these NEO-CONS (er, guys, hellllloooooo, they are TELLING us who they are!!!) there is still the OTHER six billion people on the planet that could come through before this ‘game’ is over!  And Grasshoppers, that is US!

So, that in mind, the other side of Mars’s aggressiveness, is Mars’ ability to TAKE ACTION.

In addition to ‘writing our congressperson, ahem’ it is imperative that we SEE the future in a different light.  Right now with every movie about the future made showing the Future as a voilent, barren and brutal place, with every assumption of eventual destruction being a certainty, we are shortchanging our potential!!!

What about this, Grasshoppers:  If you are of a mind or heart to do this, carve out a bit of time within the next few days (here at the early stage of Mars direct) and ‘ground’ and meditate for a few minutes….then, ‘see’ the council at the United Nations meet—and ‘see’ them agree to look at our planet from the position of health, life, respect, inclusion, and love.  Even ‘see’ Darth Cheney get a ‘dawning look’ upon his face as he has an uncharacteristic ‘Human’ moment!  See him nod, ‘Yes’ when ideas of conservation, nature-friendly actions, humanity-friendly choices are made. Can we do this? Does this sound unreasonable?  Too girlie?  Not powerful enough?  Au contraire!!!  Vision is where it all starts! Peace is a force of power—uniting is a force of creation—love is a force of healing.

In the words of one of the greatest prophets to ever live, John Lennon, well, you know the advice he gave us all.  He told us what to do—he said: Imagine.

Moon in Pisces goes Void @ 8:16 p.m.

Moon in Pisces square Sun in Sagittarius @ 1:36 a.m.
Moon in Pisces square Pluto in Sagittarius @ 2:43 p.m.
Moon in Pisces trine Mercury in Scorpio @ 7:17 p.m.
Moon in Pisces sextile Venus in Capricorn @ 8:16 p.m.

I was messing around with my software recently (just got some NEW stuff—for Christmas for YOU guys!  Stay tuned, Big Sale!) anyway, I was trying to calculate something and I discovered that I had a program that I did not know I had.  It was all about the phases of the moon, of which there are eight.

We often talk of New Moon and Full Moon, but they are just the extremes of the cycle.  There are six others, and each of them has a role in ‘developing’ our month.  It is interesting to note, when anyone is attempting to conceive a child, using their moon phase is key.  It is said that at the phase of the moon that you (in this case, the woman) was born in, is the most powerful and pro-creative time, and if that cycle co-insides with the moon phase of birth, then the odds of successful replication are increased twofold!  Okay, what this means is, if you were born at the Gibbous Moon, then each month when the Moon is Gibbous, you are astrologically in the most fertile time.

Now, that metaphor extends beyond the breeding ritual—in fact, just what is it that you are doing, creating, and attempting to achieve?  If you know the phase of the moon that you are born under, each month at that time is your most personally ‘ripe’ time, and as such you need to pay attention to it.  I, myself was born under a First Quarter Moon, and that is the moon of today, so I just happened to notice it, and here are the words for the first quarter’s powers:  Clearing, Action, and Building.  That is where our power lies for this day....

This being the last month of our year, this being the last MOON of our year, and the last First Quarter of the year, just what do you need to CLEAR in order to be better equipped to take ACTION in the coming new year and BUILD the sort of year you would be delighted to live in?  Wow.  It’s exciting to pay attention to these celestial details…in fact, that is actually the whole point of our journey here watching the Heavens…we are never separate, the answers we seek are always just an ‘euphony’ away, and if we open up, ask and LISTEN to the wisdom gathered from the zillions of humans who have walked upon this Red Brick Road of Life, then we will be enlightened, supported and empowered by this bounty of knowledge!

Now, let’s all get out there and clear, take action and build!!

Moon in Pisces

Moon in Pisces conjunct Uranus in Pisces @ 9:39 a.m.
Moon in Pisces sextile Mars in Taurus @ 11:45 a.m.
Moon in Pisces trine Jupiter in Scorpio @ 12:56 p.m.

Yesterday I ‘got out of Dodge’.

After Sky left for school with (our) term paper in hand, my day was slated to venture forth for a bout of that dreaded Christmas shopping.  In spite of my beliefs and tirades, I am a wuss and I just go out there and live up to everyone’s expectations (Cancer Moon).  I was grumbling and grinching around, and I was not alone. Any time I ran into some one I knew, I heard the question ‘Are we in the void?’
Yesterday, the answer was definitely affirmative.

Truthfully,  I don’t think it’s the Void, and we can no longer blame Mercury retrograde (er, we technically actually can, since old Merc is still in his ‘no fly zone’ until the 21st but he isn’t really retrograde, so it is a stretch.) So, what the heck CAN we ‘blame’ for the stress, chaos and confusion of the times?  Well, there IS a grand fixed square in  residence in the sky, all the way until Mars leaves Taurus in February.

And, of course, it IS December!

You know in Nature, December is a pretty peaceful month.  It is just like us humans to create holiday rituals that are counter nature.

In nature this time of year everything slows to a halt!  Bears and other small creatures hunker down, go inside and sleep. (Longing….) What do WE do?  We do double time!!!!

We work full time, spend our evenings putting up decorations, baking cookies and writing cards (just the decorations for me, gave up the rest a long time ago) not to mention all of the shopping…geez…

Anyway, I must have realized I would be super-stressed, because a while back I had arranged a wonderful evening for myself.  Booked months ago, I had made plans to spend the evening with two of my very favorite humans, my very dear friend Maryann, and the amazing Angeles Arrien.

Angie is beginning a new Four Fold Way class, and Maryann and I pilgrimage down to the introductory event.  The evening is to determine if the student is a match for the year-long Four Fold Way course.  Walking in and seeing Angie again, took the edge off of my stress/December day instantly… Ahhh….The time/space continuum being what it is, I probably won’t get to do this course.  (It waits for me, some day).  But a couple of things she said stick with me (actually, everything she says sticks with me!)

She said that Nature runs on medium to slow time.  In nature, if there is a crisis, (predator attack, natural disaster, etc) everything speeds up for about 15-20 minutes or so, until the crisis is over…then it resumes to medium or slow time.  Humans are always on fast forward!  It is the wrong speed—it is why we burn out! (Man, do I know it!)

She said one more wonderful thing….she reminded us all that when we sing or chant, we can not stay depressed!  The frequency of the sound shifts consciousness (paraphrasing) so let me tell you, I just sang along with the radio, all the way home!

I wish I could take this course and share with you all her wonderful ideas, but hey—you could take it yourselves, and write a column here for Cardinal Star Systems!  (Fantasy!) It did remind me to go back to my basic knowledge and beliefs (you can read about them in Angie’s wonderful Four Fold Way book) as the truth of ‘right being’ is about remembering that we are a part of nature, not a controller/or one who is controlled by nature!

Well, as for the news of today, today is NOT in the Void!

Uranus is conjunct the Moon, and The Sun is (close to) conjunct Pluto, and everything is connected…so it’s a great day to get things done….so if you’re very good, get your work done, you just might have some peaceful time left to go outside and sit with the birds and the trees and the clouds…wow, is it wonderful to be ‘under the influence’ of my teacher…and her message that nature is just outside, always patiently awaiting us!

(PS... Speaking of 'going within', check out the the flyer that Pam Burns-Clair sent in Good To Know!!!)

Sorry folks, today’s Dujour is pre-empted by a desperate attempt to pass 11th grade—again!  Sky’s term paper on, Uncle Tom’s Cabin is due and we’re deep into the edit and re-write process. (doesn’t this sound all too familiar?)
It’s due, of course, today.

Tomorrow we’ll be back on the case!

Moon in Aquarius square Jupiter in Scorpio @ 9:49 a.m.
Moon in Aquarius oppose Saturn in Leo @ 2:07 p.m.
Moon in Aquarius sextile Sun in Sagittarius @ 7:03 p.m.
Moon in Aquarius conjunct Neptune in Aquarius @ 9:01 p.m.

After Luna entered Aquarius last night at 7:36 in the evening, she was once again connected. She spent the day in The Void yesterday, and so did I.

I write the Daily Stars for the weekend early on Saturday morning, then promptly forget just what’s going on ‘up there’, so I’m just muddling around wondering, ‘what the heck’s wrong with me?’ forgetting there is information in those star patterns!

I started about six different projects, half heartedly (and half mindedly) so there was stuff in rubble all over the place.  Usually, the adrenaline I produce by freaking  myself out, (“There’s only six more days off until December 25th!!!”) gets me going—adrenaline is a great drug for organizing the mind—but even in full panic throttle, it couldn’t cut through yesterday’s moon in void.

Then, early in the evening, I noticed that I would start to unpack a box of ornaments and finish clearing the box.  Humm.  Then I got the garlands up, the floor swept, and the candle holders down for polishing! (Yeah, I really DO use silver polish, but don’t worry, it’s only once a year) Anyway, this morning when I looked at the star line-up, I see that I started to connect just when Luna left the void and entered Aquarius—she was back in action, and so was I. Sometimes it’s all so obvious.

Today we have five connections from our Aquarius moon—today we are definitely engaged!

Not a minute too soon.  I have a list a mile long to accomplish, and my pen is poised to mark stuff ‘off’ of that list—and I’m starting now.  “Dujour—check”…got the first one off, much more to go…up, running and motivated…it’s a direct Mercury, a connected Moon, and my day “off”.  Peace of mind lies at the end of my list, and I’m goin for it! Hope you have a productive and connected Monday!

Moon in Capricorn sextile Jupiter in Scorpio @ 7:17 a.m.
Moon in Capricorn trine Mars in Taurus @ 7:56 a.m.
Mercury goes direct @ 6:24 p.m.

Yes, yes, there is a glass of champagne waiting for all of us tonight, Grasshoppers, as our nemesis, companion and guide of mind and motion resumes his walk forward!  Tonight’s the night (er, no expectations or anything!) that Mercury goes direct!

Last night was my ‘piece d’la resistance’ with my dance with Mercury. There was I, all dressed up with gift in hand, about to drive off to a big birthday party as one more friend of mine was hitting the big 5-0.  In order to answer a question that Wally asked about parking and timing, I needed to look at the invitation.  Humm… it seemed that I was a bit early.  A WEEK early to be exact!!

It was a long drive to my friend’s house—I was really, really glad we checked that invitation.  That’s one more thing to add to our ‘to do’ list when Mercury is retrograde, ‘Hoppers’; write that down, rule number #42:  Always double check our invitations!

Anyway, all dressed up, we just went out to our usual Friday spot (where ‘everybody knows our name’) and stories of Merc/retro were pouring out, tales of woe.  This particular retrograde was a dozy, and I’m sure we are all looking forward to tonights DIRECT, as there should be a teeny tiny bit more clarity.

Now, you all remember the Mercury dance, eh?  Once Mercury begins to move forward, it takes a while to catch up to the degree that it went retrograde.  This Mercury will reach the 11th degree of Sagittarius—where it was when it started this backward jaunt—on December 21.  So it ain’t over till it’s over….just continue to read your invitations, and buy these warranties!

In other astro news for the day, the Earth signs hold the day, with a Capricorn Venus and a Capricorn Moon trining a Taurus Mars…it’s a great day to go and get that tree!

It’s a really happening Sunday!

Well, I suppose any Sunday in December has it’s dance card filled…no time to rest, things to do, places to go, etc…..and this Sunday has a quartet of merging energies in influence, Venus, Moon Mercury and Jupiter (opps…forgot Mars…let’s see…what’s a five-piece band?) anyway, you get the picture.  The players are still in the earthy, creative and yin (therefore receptive) signs of Capricorn, Scorpio and Taurus, and as per yesterday, it’s a good day to prepare your home for the holidays…or shop…or go to a party…or go outside and breathe the rich smell of December earth (harder to do if it is raining…) but you get my meaning.  It’s an earthy day, a day to do and for our senses, lush and rich.  With or without any event or task, it’s the sort of star/earth day combination when we revel in our sentience…. (Having a body!)

Advice?  Don’t forget the ultimate ‘Church’ experience.  Just like the old days…the really old days….when church was a meadow outside, and the communion with body, mind and spirit was the alignment with yourself and ALL that is outside your senses!

You know, one good body/spirit alignment day (since those stars are perfect for this!) can change your whole holiday spirit!  I’m up for it—in fact; I really, really NEED it!

Out, breathe; BE….I’ll ‘see’ you guys on Monday…all refreshed and ready for the season!

Once again, our Comcast connection is not connected, so no news and no mail and no nothing.  This is the second time this week, and of course, I say to myself, “Well, this is SO Mercury retrograde!”  And then my self reminds me that TOMORROW, our buddy Mercury will resume his for
