xxward journey—at 6:24 p.m., Mercury will go direct!
That means, that today is the day that Mercury is poised, hovering at the 25th degree of Scorpio, wavering between directions. This is a very strange day for technology! (And our Minds) I would advise to not let it get to you, but I am busy throwing my keyboard through the window! Actually, is it Mercury or is it time to change my Estrogen Patch? (Probably same thing.)
Wally arose and everything works again (guess it’s me) so I get to see the news. The crowds are out again with torches in hand, storming the Castle, and cheering for the 1,000 victim of socially sanctioned murder. The Death Penalty is like a parent hitting a child and saying, “Don’t hit!” Right, makes sense to me…by the way, did you know that states that have the death penalty have a 40% higher murder rate than states that don’t? (Texas, of course, has the highest murder rate of ALL!) Did you know that a prerequisite of joining the European Union is for that country to abolish the death penalty? Did you know that in the USA there are four times the murders than in ALL of the European countries put together? Do you think there is a link there?
Speaking of links, the astrological one might be that in the USA’s chart we have a ‘stellium’ (a group of planets) in the 8th house of sex, death, dreams, psychology and money. That is definitely the MO of the USA…sexually repressed (and obsessed!) the ‘sacredness’ of the death rituals (holy wars and righteous executions) psychologically edgy (Prozac Land) and MONEY (need I say more?)
GEEZ….I took a break from my tirade, went out to my office to give it its bi-annual vacuuming, but the vacuum said, “No”. Okay, ‘I give’!….I think I’m going to go and put on TWO patches, and call it a day….I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow….good luck with today!

First day of the last month, and the new moon to boot! And oh, how very busy our Luna is today—she has one of each major aspect!
Today, Luna will square Uranus (blast away anything that stands in the way of her energy ) conjunct the Sun (team energy, new moon—the point of beginning) trine Saturn (solid, supportive, pro-active and capable and sextile Neptune, (feelings and creative energies are symbiotic, this is a great one to be creative with!) Yup…she's very connected day!
For Moi, I stayed connected to the “Dream World” way too long, so all you guys get is a mini-Dujour—“just the aspects and nothing but the aspects” but as I said…this day has plenty of ‘crayons’ to color with, and don’t forget to use them to make the BEST VISION EVER for your New Moon in Sagittarius paper!

Moon void in Scorpio @ 7:16 a.m.
Moon enters Sagittarius @ 2:32 p.m.
Moon in Scorpio sextiles Venus in Capricorn @ 12:06 a.m.
Moon in Scorpio conjuncts Mercury in Scorpio @ 7:16 a.m.
Today's astro-journey is a mystical one, sort of " between the lines!"
All of the aspects today occur before our Luna goes void, and more significant than that, she is that traveling through that phase called, Balsamic.
I think we’ve had this talk before (sorry about the re-runs, but it IS a circular zodiac!). Balsamic means dark, and each month our Luna returns to her ‘new’ position where she will conjunct the Sun (this is the new moon) to complete the circle before she is ready to start traveling around the zodiac once again. This mystical Balsamic zone, is that famed ‘darkest before dawn’ spot—and here she is her most yin, intuitive, sensitive and receptive. Today is a day for introspection and centering—if you can pull that off on a Wednesday! (Try to sneak away alone for a few minutes…you will be glad you did!)
To further guide us inward, remember, there are three retrograde planets; Mars, Saturn and Mercury, they will each lend their own personal insights to exploring this inner terrain.
We go ‘In’ so we might have a more grounded and complete self to take ‘Out’ when our Luna sails into the next sign of the zodiac. This is your chance to get centered, m’dear ‘Hoppers’, before the big swoosh of our holiday drags you into its extra demands.
By the way, tomorrow’s new moon (at 7:01 a.m.) in Sagittarius will be a honey! Saturn will be in trine to this Sun/Moon combo, and that means extra support for the ability to follow-through!
Now, what do we do at the new moon? You got it! Pencils out…from 7:01 a.m. until 3:01 p.m. it is time for your New Moon paper…. Use your full moon sheet if you made one, if not, grab a blank piece of paper and start writing! What IS your vision? Remember, you have a better chance of getting what you want, if you know what that is.
For me, it’s always the same….peace of mind! I figure if I have that, I must be doing the best I can! That’s my advice on your ‘wishes’….wish for the result (peace, happiness, belonging, connectedness, serenity, etc….) and let Great Spirit find a clever way to deliver that to you! It’s like a present inside a present!
Anyway, our new moon’s tomorrow, and we still have this wonderful yin day to go inward and prepare….center, be silent, enjoy!

Moon in Scorpio
Moon in Scorpio oppose Mars in Taurus @ 1:10 a.m.
Moon in Scorpio square Saturn in Leo @ 5:13 a.m.
Moon in Scorpio square Neptune in Aquarius @ 12:14 p.m.
It’s a fixed square kind of day all right. I have started and deleted a number of ideas, but to tell you the truth, I am missing my ‘passion’ of topic…could be the ‘blocking’ energy squares can have! Even the latest political scandal—Duke’s resignation— (“A scandal a day, that’s all we ask”) does not generate concern. (Well, it does get OLD after a while, n’est pas?)
So, when in doubt, the ‘Oracle goes to the Oracle’—you remember that I told you all about one of my favorite sites? It’s called Tarot.com. My friend MaryAnn turned me on to it about a year ago, and whenever my mind is frozen, I just zap up my free I-Ching, and it seems to do the trick. What did my six-click hexagram come up with today? Hexagram #43—Determination! I kid you not!
So, with determination to write SOMETHING for my darling Grasshoppers, This is what I have to say about all of those squares and oppositions that are circling in our ‘fly zone’ today….
Do you all remember that squares are often energy generators? That makes this a terrific day to get things done! I actually know this to be true, as I am distracted from my Dujour writing by being busy with my customary tri-annual Mercury Retrograde paper-sorting catch-up! You know, I don’t plan it that way, it just happens. All of a sudden, I just dive into the buckets of unattended paper that live on various surfaces in my home—sorting and even ANSWERING things that have been sitting there for months! I have come to depend upon these Merc/Retro’s, as without them, my home would look like one of those “Packrat” places that you see on the news.
Now, that’s the positive side, and the negative side is that blocking energy I spoke of, which can lead to frustration, fatigue and overwhelm…yup, this sounds like my mind trying to come up with a topic for Dujour!
But hey, with hexagram #43… (Determination!), those squares can be your friend!
How will they work for you? Why don’t you try http://tarot.com and see what YOU need to get in gear today!

Moon void in Libra, enters Scorpio @ 8:33 a.m.
Sun in Sagittarius square Uranus in Pisces @ 5:16 p.m.
Moon in Scorpio trine Uranus in Pisces @ 9:18 p.m.
Moon in Scorpio conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio @ 9:56 p.m.
If this Dujour gets up on C Star S site, it is by the hair of our chinny chin chins—and in SPITE of Mercury in retrograde!
All morning a battle has raged. NO said my ‘server’, you may NOT connect to the big network—“work off line” it told me, over and over again.
“Noooooooo—I neeeeed to get on!” I say, but it seems I am just shouting it to the wind. I started writing today’s Dujour in good faith, without an on-line connect, and then my Knight in Shinning Armor (Wally!) arose and he is now in conversation with the Big Guys as we speak. (No, not God, the guys at Comcast!) Ah, Mercury Retrograde….we can always count on it’s unpredictability to be ‘predictable’!
I was talking to my friend Deborah yesterday, who is right in the middle of moving. She said it is very challenging, moving with Mercury retrograde. She said that every service—phone service, internet, mail…all have been ‘glitched-out’ since the get-go. Who knows where her mail is winding up? She knows about the planets, so she is not concerned, but it is still a big mess! The advice, of course, would be to try to keep from moving while this aspect is in effect, but you know, sometimes these things are just ‘karmically scheduled’ and you just can’t avoid them!
Now, to expand on these aspects today, we have our Sun in its square angle with Uranus, who is a trickster likened to a permanent Mercury retrograde! What’s a human to do? There is that great and much-striven-for spiritual practice of Patience, and today Grasshoppers, is the day to practice it. Our assignment is to breathe, picture the word Patience, floating in a cloud above our heads, and know that the Universe is messing with us—and just ‘get in to’ being part of the experience! Let’s all decide to just hang out with The Gods, and laugh—after all, it IS a Monday!
There is one more aspect to speak of, although this aspect was exact yesterday. Audrey mentioned that she was anxious to hear what Dujour would say about Jupiter traveling in a companionable Trine with Uranus! (Me too! What's it mean?)
Well, let’s see….so here are these two very individualistic Titans, moving along the Zodiacal circle, at a very chummy angle, The Trine. The Big Dude (Jupiter) is always confident, he’s The Biggest Planet, after all, and thinks this is enough to trump everything….so he exudes his Jupiter energy, which is to amplify and expand everything that is happening. Juptiter says, "Let's turn the volumn up and get this party going!"
Uranus, the rebel planet, doesn’t care HOW big Jupiter is, or what anyone says, he just wants to do things his way! Uranus has it’s own drumbeat, and while everyone else is playing a symphony, he is off on his own, playing Jazz.... Uranus says, “Let me be free to explore, create or break through”
So we put the two together, and we get expansive, bold, creative, exploratory…this is a mighty coupling, a great merging of energies, and this aspect will allow us to feel as if we CAN do the impossible…which if you think of it, is one of the favorite tricks of humans!
For me, the impossible task is starting that Christmas shopping ritual. It’s hard to do something you are morally opposed to, but you do because you always have done it and it would blow everyone’s mind if you didn’t do it! Do you go through that, too?
Ah, well….Hopefully, our Jupiter/Uranus trine will give our imaginations a boost, and Jupiter makes us all feel capable, and Lord knows, there have been so many squares, oppositions and intense conjunctions as of late (to this planet) that this one little Trine is like an Island in the Sun! ( "I think I can, I think I can....." )
Okey dokey, off to do this day….oh, did I mention….my own personal miracle man WON!! This is why you get today’s Dujour, Mr. Wally has his OWN fixed planets, and with his Zen tenacity, (and the help from the Comcast Guy) he was able to cut through those trickster glitches and give us all internet access!
May your day bring you insight, patience, and connection—and whatever you do, don’t leave home today without your sense of humor!
