Well, with my system flooded with Triptophan and Serotonin (and for those of you who are not life-time dieters, or bio chemists that means Turkey and Pie….) I sit here striving to come out of the coma I have been in for the last two days.  The bizarre thing is, I think I ate less this time than ever, but the bit ‘off the path’ I strayed has affected me more than ever! (Getting older?  Eeek!)

I was amused to see that the Great Cosmic All Mighty ‘Irony Committee’ deigned to place the moon in the discriminatory sign of Virgo for our big Turkey Day, and I was duly discriminate.  I picked, I sorted, I selected (Virgo words) with great care all of the luscious food offered that was NOT made of wheat, my avowed enemy.  Then, on day TWO, the Virgo moon went VOID….and so did I!!!

Not a pie, roll or left over sample of wheat-infused stuffing escaped my day-after frenzy.  What’s wrong with me???  Ah well….by the time the day ended, and the glazed look in my eyes turned to sleep, the moon had rolled around to the sign of balance….Libra…and when I awoke, with the memory of debauchery was just a dream (aside from the lump that remains on my solar plexus).  Well, as they say in the dieting community….today’s another day!

If you checked out the Daily Stars, you will see that our buddy Mercury has slipped back into Scorpio, and will spend the last of his retrograde in this location.  Hey, Mercury in Scorpio is almost as discriminative as Moon in Virgo—and it comes just in time for our holiday shopping!  I do hate to collude with the materialism of this season, but what one of us isn’t caught up in it, to some extent?  As long as we are, it is good to have a discriminate eye and mind at our disposal!  Mercury will lend us his sleuthful insights with his retrograde until the 3rd of December, and even when he heads forward once again, he will remain in Scorpio until December 12th.

Okay, I’m off to ingest some enzymes and a soothing cup of tea before my day begins.  Hope your holiday was loving and you are feeling well and happy!  Speaking personally, I declare this a wheat free/turkey free zone day….thank you, Moon in Libra!!

pd….Pam sent a wonderful link!  After a very large wrestling match with my computer (Mercury retrograde!) I WON!!! It is up and in the Good to Know section—just for your fun, pleasure and inspiration….

Whew!

Well, as you can see, I have written out those Daily Stars for the next three days, I am shifting my brain from Astrologer to the Domestic Goddess role …so today’s Dujour is IT for a few days, for which I am Thankful…

and speaking of Thanks…..Well, it IS the word of the day, isn’t it?

At the risk of getting too “Hallmark” (I have written and deleted for about an hour now, just too much sugar…and we don’t need THAT!) It is difficult to cut it back, since this is my very FAVORITE holiday of the year!

Years ago, we made a wonderful altar to the Goddess Fortuna—the Goddess of Abundance!  She has blessed us with fortune beyond belief—we have each other (our wonderful gathering of family and friends) and a table loaded with amazing food—how much better can it get?

We used to play a game on Thanksgiving, it was the Anagram Game.  We had printed out on paper (which we handed out to everyone), the word Thanksgiving all along the left side of the paper in a column.  Each letter was to be the first letter of a word of something that you were thankful for!  We would read them and try to guess whose list it was—fun!

So, here is my list for this year, my friends…

T---Together!  (It’s nice to be incarnated with you all!)

H---Husbands (Speaking personally…so grateful for That Wally!)

A—Audrey! (Always on my A list!  What would we do without her?)

N—Nature (We’re so lucky we still have some!)

K—Kisses (very important)

S—Sky (My youngest son, and the big blue bowl above us, too!)

G—Gabe (sweet Oldest son!)

I—Incarnation What an interesting time to Incarnate…isn’t it?

V—Vision! This one’s from Wally!  It is what we create our lives from!

I—Illumination—how fun it is to learn!

N---Now---! (No matter what, we always have this!)

GGrasshoppers!  You bet!  I am really, really thankful that you are all on this journey with me—thanks for tuning in!

Wishing you a fabulous day with those that you love, and remember—gratitude is a spiritual practice! Decide to be grateful, and you WILL be…wow, so very simple!

(ps...for a beautiful prayer of gratitude from St. Teresa, go to Pam Burns-Clair's column!)

Moon in Leo goes void @ 9:25 pm

Saturn stationary retrograde @ 1:00 a.m.
Moon in Leo opposite Neptune in Aquarius @ 4:20 a.m.
Moon in Leo trine Pluto in Sagittarius @ 9:25 p.m.

Wow, did you spot the big astro-news of the day, astute Grasshoppers?  You betja, it’s one of those ‘whiplash’ days again!

In the wee hours while we all so innocently slept, Saturn, our nemesis, stopped, ‘stationed’, and will begin his journey back from the 11th degree of Leo to the 4th degree of Leo, which he will arrive at on April 6, 2005! Ta da, da da da……so what can this possibly mean?

That old question?  The meaning of all things is specific to the meaning-seeker…er, in other words, so where does this phenomena travel in your own, personal chart?

Now, for Big Chief W, remember that when Saturn crossed his personal ascendant, at 7 degrees of Leo, we all got to see how ‘efficiently’ his government ran!  That was the week of Katrina, and you know, the misery, unfairness and suffering continue in that all-too-quickly forgotten place.  Hopefully, this retrograde will bring some of the issues back into the light—so we might re-visit the scene, and ‘see’ what we missed and what is needed to re-lieve the suffering!

Saturn is not Mercury.  It is not about re-thinking, it’s about re-doing.  Saturn has a very concrete influence!

What has gone on in your life since July 16, when Saturn first entered Leo?  Have you made decisions, started projects, skipped too quickly on to the next event, only to have missed something foundational?  Well, this is your lucky day!  We hardly ever get to re-do!  Let’s all go back along the trail with our celestial friend, and put our lives together with efficiency and deliberateness—both Saturn words!  Time to finish what we started—and this time, do it consciously!

ps....go to Special Features and click Good to Know--congress is about to give themselves a RAISE!!!  This is too much!  Can you believe it?  Saturn retrograde...not so quick, you opportunists!

Daily Stars

Moon in Leo

Moon in Leo square Jupiter in Scorpio @ 9:34 a.m.
Moon in Leo trine Mercury in Sagittarius @ 10:39 a.m.
Moon in Leo square Mars in Taurus @ 7:07 p.m.
Moon in Leo conjunct Saturn in Leo @ 8:50 p.m.
Sun enters Sagittarius @ 9:15 p.m.

Our Luna, who art in fixed signs, is a very busy girl today!  She’ll be connecting with trines and squares and conjunctions, oh my—but that is NOT our big story, du jour! Although you might  feel a wide range of emotions today (there’s so much variation in today’s lunar aspects!) the BIG story of our day, of course, is that at 9:15 p.m. our Sun will leave its fall water environment, Scorpio, and enter the exciting fall sign of Sagittarus....Into the fire we go!

This, Grasshoppers, is a great time to be a SAG!

Of all of the planetary influences, there is one that consistently ‘mentors’ success and opportunity and that influential planet is Saturn.

The magic position for Saturn to be in, in our charts, is in the aspect known as a ‘trine’.  Each sign gets two trines from Saturn an orbit—every thirty years or so!  The last trine for you Saggies, was 1996-1998, when Saturn traveled through the cardinal fire sign of Aries….before that, the last time Saturn was trine, it was where it was now, in fixed Leo, and that last occurred in 1976-1978!

Well, ittttssss back, and Sagittarius, you will have Saturn trinning your Sun for the next two years!

What’s your plan?  Don’t have one?  Now is the time to MAKE a plan!  What Saturn provides is the ability to commit; offers ‘luck’ with opportunities, and creates an environment for your plans to take ‘root’.  Ya got till the fall of 2007 with this extra cosmic assistance—know it, use it!

For the rest of us, fire is THE element these days!  Wherever Saturn is, is de régur, and all these days fire is—well—hot!

So this month we will feel a groundswell of energy—even WITH retrograde Mercury! Great!  We’re going to need it—it IS the holiday season. For most of us, this is a nice energy boost—for Sagittarius, well—it’s a rare opportunity to change your lives for the better!

Ps….To help you Saggies with achieving those goals, Audrey shared with me this wonderful little ‘recipe for success’ that she heard from a talk by George Leonard….here is the five point ‘formula’ for success.

1} Surrender to your passion
2} Practice. Practice. Practice.
3} Get a guide
4} Visualize the outcome
5} Play the edge
