Well, taking an unofficial poll on this week in review, using the Cosmic Stress-O-Meter, (on a scale of 1 to 10) this week comes in at an 11!!!!
I judge this by the phone calls we receive here at C Star S, the stacks of charts with ‘major questions to be asked’ about major losses, weird events, emotional turbulences, odd health dilemmas, and crisis moments…not to mention our national politics (and since when have I not mentioned national politics…yet another doozy of a week there!) And most personally, how much my brain feels like it is going to explode (or implode). Of course let us not forget also, THE WEATHER, which was actually MILD this week by currant global warming standards …er, except a couple of days ago we boasted that we made it through the last Moon in Gemini/Cancer storm-less for the first time since Katrina….. But then there came Gamma, right on schedule! Wadda week!
So, how was YOURS? Let’s face it, Grasshoppers, life on the blue-green planet this week was a real spin around, what with the push me/ pull you directional changes of (1) Mercury going retrograde and (2) Uranus going direct! Is it safe to ‘go into the water?’ I don’t think so—next week on Tuesday, we will turn that bus around one more time with (3) Saturn moving retrograde, from the 11th degree of Leo back to the 4th degree, turning forward on April 6, 2006! Geez….I’m exhausted already!
Now, wrap all of that astrological activity around the fact that we are in the Holiday Season, and you have a PERFECT environment for a complete breakdown….celestially sanctioned, mind you…so go ahead!
Break down your world into digestible pieces…. break down overwhelm into manageable segments, and you will be able to cope… breaking down parts of things is actually wise practice. Take your ‘bills’ one at a time, worry about your diet one ‘meal’ at a time, met out your energy, one ‘event’ at a time, take your 'future' one ‘morning’ at a time…and then it will all be so do-able. That’s my ‘advise’ for these aspects and this season…and will someone please remind me to do this? (I think I’m going to need it!)
Go ahead and enjoy your weekend...one beautiful moment at a time!!!

Daily Stars
Moon in Gemini, void until 11:42 a.m., enters Cancer
Mars in Taurus square Saturn in Leo @ 12:32 p.m.
Moon in Cancer trine Jupiter in Scorpio @ 9:36 p.m.
You know, when you come in for a reading, chances are you will get asked the “Saturn” questions. They would sound something like, “What happened in your life between 1975 and 1978?” and then we would draw some sort of parallel or comparison, threading that time period and its events and THEME to this one. Life does not so much circle us around, as it spirals us around. We are indeed
repeating patterns, but we change, things change and karma changes as we come back around the edge of the circle to a similar place on the wheel of fate.
Okay, that said, I was just reading Ariana Huffington’s story about Bob Woodward, and it struck me that the LAST time Saturn was HERE (late 1975!) he was doing the SAME THING—reporting on a scandal, involving the President of the US—except this time, he IS the scandal involving the President of the US!!!

How fascinating, eh? I see that a lot, I watch the news and it strikes me how Saturn-patterned we all are, which is why I’m so sold on this planet as a way to make a “prediction”. Stories like the Berlin Wall going UP when Saturn was in Capricorn, (1961) and going DOWN the next time Saturn went into Capricorn, one Saturn Cycle later (1989). Same major event period, when Nelsen Mandela
went IN to prison when Saturn was in Capricorn (1962) , and got OUT within ten degrees of an exact return, when it came around again (1990)! As I mentioned, W’s last “election”, was under the same aspects as Richard Nixon’s “last stand”. Some things never change. The last time that Saturn was in Leo, was '75-78, and I have lots of 'opinions' about the turn of events at that time (and I'll probably 'foist' them upon you at some later point) but the question is.... "What was happening in YOUR life at that time?" Follow the pattern for clues to your 'issues' now......
Politics aside, today our Daily Stars show us that we have a Mars/Saturn square (resistance, caution, stubbornness, stealth) and a Moon/Jupiter trine (expansion, exaggerated emotion, creative imagination, open friendliness) and that is quite a lot of varying energy with which to make a full and meaningful day with, n’est pas my darling Grasshoppers?
Now for the question ‘du jour’ -- what is the ULTIMATE pattern that we repeat that comes around and around and holds our lives together? Yes, you win the prize—it’s our weekly celebration of Freya, Goddess of Beauty and Love’s Day, FRIDAY!
It’s here again, and speaking personally (heavy week) not a minute too soon! Let’s all go out tonight and celebrate that we are NOT Bob Woodward or G.W. or (most of us) even in politics at all…. out to celebrate friends, neighbors and just being alive. Whether you go out or stay in, Fridays are always a bit special, and I certainly hope that this one is special for you, after all-- this is the season of gratitude…and the DAY of gratitude….how much better can it get than THAT?
Hope yours is a great one!

Daily Stars
Moon in Gemini void @ 11:01 p.m.
Moon in Gemini sextile Saturn in Leo @ 12:44 a.m.
Moon in Gemini trine Neptune in Aquarius @ 7:30 a.m.
Venus in Capricorn trine Mars in Taurus @ 8:24 a.m.
Moon in Gemini opposite Pluto in Sagittarius @ 11:01 p.m.
Every month before the Moon returns to its natal location in my own personal chart, I observe my self feeling like it is the end of the world. I notice that I’m waaay over sensitive. These should be the days when I should not be allow to look at Google News….but of course, these are the days when it fascinates me the most. All of the worst stories of human nature (and you don’t have to go far to find them!) are proof, positive that we are a terrible species—and then Luna moves a few more degrees and I say, “What the heck was that?” and my ‘reality’ is changes completely, and it goes right back to its natural chirpy outlook! That is why, Grasshoppers, I put up the Daily Stars! You can watch your very own moods, and follow the path of your very own trickster minds! Just notice and see if you see the pattern….
Now, since this is one of those days when ‘life is coming to an end’, and since Google did nothing to assuage my beliefs (and I am assuming you have heard ENOUGH about Cheney and his favorite hobby, torture!) I am SO pleased that under one of my ‘celestially challenged’ days, I am able to give you a very different sweet and beautiful message for your … “jour”…just click http://www.cardinalstarsystems.com/special/spirit.html to read an inspiring message by CStarS’s Star Reporter, Pam Burns-Clair! It was able to boost me up (even in my pre-lunar return mood!) when I read it, and it is a whole other reality than the one I would drag you into, due to my celestial biorhythms! Enjoy, and have a happy Thursday (don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine by tomorrow…unless “they” pass that sadistic new, “Patriot Act”….those G@#$!@m Ba@#&$^ds!)……see what I mean?!! Talk to you all tomorrow, after The Moon has turned…..
ps...my moon aside, this Patriot Act bill is DANGEROUS!!! We are in danger of loosing the USA here! Check it out and call your representitive!

Daily Stars
Moon void in Taurus, enters Gemini @ 4:10 a.m.
Moon in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces @ 4:35 p.m.
Moon in Gemini opposite Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius @ 10:43 p.m.
Yippee! The Moon is in Gemini, and we are NOT having a hurricane, for the first time since Katrina! Perhaps global warming will slow a bit until next season? We’ll see…
.......but here we are today able to enjoy our Luna while she's in her frisky, communication home, and day she will travel the Zodiac Mile, in order to arrive at an opposition with the newly retrograded Mercury, late this evening. This aspect creates that ‘cats cradle’ effect, and all day we will feel the ‘tension’ between these bodies opposed by 180 degrees in space. The influence of this aspect varies from giving us more ‘wits’, energy, and most certainly more stress. Don’t forget that the stress can be the tension of accomplishment, as this day looks like it might be a productive one. There is this drive to ‘straighten things out’ that might have been put on the back burner…clean things up, organize, answer mail, etc….it’s a good day to create a base of clarity and order, so make hay while the moon shines!
One other aspect today is the square from Luna to the newly direction-reversed planet, Uranus. Snap, crackle, pop…Moon in Gemini, Uranus in Pisces, Mercury in Sag, Pluto in Sag, …all of the Mutables are off and running! We have had such a fixed sky for so long; it’s the first time we might feel free enough to move around (in mind and body) in weeks.
So, Grasshoppers, take today to clean up, re-group, and repair…then you might have some spare time for Gemini’s OTHER hobby—you might have time to GO somewhere!
Have fun—these are good aspects for it!

Daily Stars
Moon in Taurus full @ 4:57 p.m., then void
Moon square Neptune in Aquarius @ 1:14 a.m.
Uranus SD (!!!) @ 4:08 p.m.
Moon opposite Sun in Scorpio (full moon) @ 4:57 p.m.
You know, sometimes you wake up in Bizzaro World.
Strange dreams, strange weather, and the animals all acting even more eccentric than is their way, what could it all mean? Well, funny you should ask, but as I mentioned yesterday, today URANUS GOES DIRECT!!!!!
So what? Okay, I admit I am taking this personally (so what else is new?) but I have Pisces rising and with Uranus taking off in my direction now, my very own personal ascendant is like a big old ‘bulls eye’ in the path of this planet of transformation! Sounds like I should be happy about this, n’est pas? Sorry, I know the ‘code’. The word ‘transformation’ is code for ‘all heck could break out’! Me, who is generally in bed by 8:00, me, who has fish on Monday and chicken on Tuesday and goes to the same restaurant on Friday, me who has lived in the same place for 21 years, married for 27 years, worked with Audrey for 35 years…. HEY…I DON’T WANT CHANGE!!! Wow. I sound like you guys!! So yeah, I KNOW what happens when someone throws the word change at you—you do what Dick Cheney says—you grab a roll of plastic, a roll of duck tape, and you barricade yourself under your dining room table. This planet Uranus, however, says “So what”—“You can run but you can’t hide—it’s change or bust!”.
Okay, if I have to change, then could it be that I loose that last 25 pounds? See—I can adjust!
What this means to any of you Grasshoppers out there, has entirely to do with where this planet is in your own charts. Today, Uranus is 6 degrees 51 minutes of Pisces. Now that this big, swirling, disruptive planet is on the move (er, will be this afternoon at 4:00 p.m.) it will careen forward until June 19, 2006, when it will stop at 14 degrees, 44 min of Pisces and retrograde once more. As for me, if I change too much, will somebody out there remind me who I am? Thank you.
Okay, so the other Astro News of the day is, of course, that it is the Full Moon in Taurus/Sun in Scorpio day! Did you guys look out last night and see Mars conjunct the Moon? Gorgeous! Mars was so big, it looked like Venus! (but it wasn’t) Anyway, tonight would be a great time to do the full moon ritual. Remember that ritual?
This is the one where we leave a blank sheet of paper outside all night to soak up the moon’s full light. We will use this sheet to write our visions and intentions on, when the moon is new. Tonight’s paper will be a really powerful one! Not only will it contain the power of the Taurus/Scorpio full moon, but THIS full moon paper will also be saturated with our unusual aspect of the day—Uranus direct!
So, on the next new moon (1st day of December) we will write our vision of change on our paper charged up with the planet of changes. This sounds BIG. Hey, let’s all join up and do some BIG VISIONING together! What if we vision ‘World Peace’? Or if we vision that we protect our earth, rather than tear her apart? What about visioning that we share all of the earth’s resources fairly? Or the wonderful vision that we connect our minds and hearts rather than separate them? Well, you see some of the things that I will be writing about on my paper…of course, they will come right after “I will loose that last twenty five pounds” ….(I’m only human)
Hey, enjoy this strange, weird, quirky day!

Daily Stars
Moon in Taurus
Moon opposition Jupiter @ 6:23 a.m.
Moon sextile Uranus @ 10:59 a.m.
Moon trine Venus @ 3:06 p.m.
Moon conjunct Mars @ 8:43 p.m.
As I wrote out the long list of aspects that the Moon is making today, I had very distinctive body/mind reaction to each of them. It went something like this; Moon/Jup (humm) Moon/Uranus (ahhh) Moon/Venus (yum) and Moon/Mars (uh-oh!) and then, of course, I laughed at myself for these reactions….and then I started thinking… am I too easily influenced by this stuff?
You know, this weekend with Mercury retrograding, I found myself unable to move. I was draped on the couch, feeling very flu-ish. By Sunday night, I started to flutter to life, and I resumed my personal exercise in futility, which is whittling away at the perpetually-increasing mountain of laundry. The retrograde occurred here on the west coast at 9:42 p.m. I always have a strong reaction BEFORE the aspect hits…when the aspect itself occurs, it seems to come as a relief.
Of course the question is, if I didn’t KNOW there was a retrograde, would I still feel this way? Of course, it’s encouraging to remember that I always did before. Before Dujour, I would stagger around, wondering what was wrong with me, Audrey would point out to me, on a regular basis the comings and goings of our planets…I always thought I should pay more attention… but now that I write Dujour, I am hyper-aware of these patterns—am I somehow exaggerating their symptoms? What about you guys? Did you feel this retrograde? It feels a bit of like the flu. Let me know, I’m conducting a survey! I mean, I could actually HAVE the flu! ( I’m not quite all there yet, and who’s to say it’s a planet not a virus?) But heck, it could always ‘be’ the moon!
Today is one of those ‘Moon in one of the four fixed signs’ days. This means that Luna is up and down and running through so many emotional variations, she is exhausted by the end of the day! (projecting again) Still, one thing you can say about this day’s aspects, is that is that they are very connecting…they just might spark our energy! (Looking forward to it!)
OHMYGOD, my eyes just slipped forward into tomorrow’s aspects, and it appears that Uranus is completing its recent five-month-retrograde! Tomorrow it will be going DIRECT…and if that weren’t enough, (Now I’m getting INTO looking forward) I find that on the 22nd of this month, Saturn (not to be outdone) will be turning retrograde (until April 6th) as well! Talk about whiplash!
Let me just say that November appears to be an unusually active month for planetary changes, and what that might mean is hard to imagine. Lately it’s hard to top all of the stories in the news and weather, but that is never what we are interested in, is it Grasshoppers? It’s how all of this affects our OWN lives…I guess we’ll see… ‘interesting times’ and all!
All I know is I am chugging back all of my flu remedies and I am giving myself permission to sit on the couch. Take care of yourselves; we’ll see what this all means when we get there!
