Moon Void in Scorpio enters Sagittarius @ 10:38 a.m.
Moon in Sagittarius sextile Mercury in Aquarius @ 5:11 p.m.
Moon in Sagittarius sextile Sun in Aquarius @ 7:35 p.m.
There is an interesting aspect today. There is an almost exact conjunction with Mercury, the Sun and Chiron—that little asteroid known as The Wounded Healer!
Chiron, if you recall, was ‘discovered’ in the late 70’s, to be what is know as a ‘planetoid’. Not quite a planet, not quite an asteroid, it has an orbit pattern of fifty years around the sun. Its orbit is elliptical, or egg shaped, rather than the traditional orange shape of most of the circling celestials, which means that it spends lots of time in some signs, and zooms through others.
Chiron entered Aquarius in November for the first time in fifty years, and Aquarius, remember Grasshoppers, is the sign of The Collective. The idea here is to ‘heal’ our collective wounds. What do you suppose that means?
The story of Chiron (if you haven’t heard it) is that he was the King of the Centaurs. He was a physician, a teacher, an all around great guy, much beloved, and so Zeus brought him up to the castle to tutor his kids. While there, he backed into an arrow that was tipped with Medusa’s blood—stuff so vile that when it fell to the ground, scorpions rose up from it! A bummer by any standards, it would kill us humans instantly, but we would be the lucky ones—Chiron, who was immortal, was doomed to live with the sensation of scorpions running through his blood for all eternity! (That’s a really long time)
Still, he was a classy dude. He tried all of his doctor’s magic potions, but of course, his wounds were far too grave to be healed by mere herbs. After a while, he realized it was all just, ‘pain management’, and he found a way to live side-by-side this horrendous feeling, and in fact, he used it as a basis for helping others. Compassion for suffering, it seems, is one of the ways to work with pain. Still, this eternity stuff carried on, but eventually something happened.
Prometheus stole fire from Mt. Olympus and generously gave it to us humanoids. It changed our lives and was the Beginning of the End for old Zeus. Zeus was, shall we say, rather annoyed, and he had Prometheus chained to a rock where Gorgon’s came and ate his liver out—er, every day! That, too was to last an eternity!
Now Chiron took pity upon Prometheus, he realized he was just doing a kindness for our species, and he went to Zeus. He told him, heck, he was doomed to suffer for all eternity, and he was willing to take this on for Prometheus, bearing his chains for all eternity for him, and if he did, would Zeus please set Prometheus free?
Zeus was absolutely blown away by this act of generosity, compassion and bravery—so much so, that he not only released Prometheus from his bonds, but he took Chiron out of his immortal, suffering body, and set him to live as the Constellation Sagittarius, in the stars! (If Zeus could always do this, what took him so long? Ah, well, these deities….!)
Anyway, you see how it goes? Chiron says that to release ourselves from suffering, we need to go BEYOND, to go into selflessness, to pass our ordinary, fear and pain based realities, and loose our selves to our personal courage, selfless, bigger than usual selves.
Okay Grasshoppers, with Mercury conjunct Chiron and the Sun, and the Moon in Sagittarius, what is your great act of courage for today? Wow! What a terrific assignment! We’ll talk more about this later, but this should be an interesting day!

This week is born on the tail of a rather romantic trine. In the middle of the night our masculine force, Mars who is strong and passionate in earthy Taurus, pushed forward to meet the lovely femme fatale, Venus in Capricorn. Retrograde, she seemed to be sailing back just to meet him to share one last moment while they are both in the same element of earth. Earth to Earth, you remember Grasshoppers, is a trine of artistry, and is felt as harmony and creativity. Why do those things always happen at 2:20 a.m.? Well, I’m sure that it benefited some romance writer somewhere, who got up in the middle of the night inspired with a great idea for a story, and no, it wasn’t me…(I really love to sleep)
Another aspect of this day that will bring ‘Chi’ to our creativity is the blending of the energies of Luna in conjunction with Jupiter. This is an aspect that is renowned to expand romance, enhance creativity and often excites emotional amplification. Humm…that last part doesn’t sound like too much fun….any more emotional amplification these days and I could get arrested, I’m actually trying to give it up…(You know me and politics, sigh…)
Anyway, whatever your life is about today, you will FEEL strongly about it, for good or for not so good, so if there is a choice of where you get to be, place your self where you will enjoy feeling BIG about it! And hey, it’s a great day to read a romance novel…or even to write one! Don’t forget to ‘get out and smell the roses’….Toujours l’amoure, and happy Monday!

The last little finishing-ups from Luna making her rounds in Libra on Saturday just might give this day a lassez-faire energy, but this weekends message is “You snooze, you loose”, and by Sunday we hit the celestial ground running!
You know the big, “unending” (it just seems like it, it’s been going on for so long!) background of the grand square in fixed planets lately means that every seven days, when Luna hits a fixed point, the whole pinball machine lights up and goes, “Tilt”! Well, just to make it all interesting, the cosmic “Irony Committee” (you know, the Ones who RUN things, ‘up there’) have arranged the ‘every seven day’ thing to happen on weekends! And you thought you could rest!
This weekend it is Scorpio, the water-fixed-sign part of the square, where Luna will arrive on Sunday (as so often is the case) padding in on ‘cat’s feet, in the middle of the night. Very Scorpio.
Now, in this spot, she connects all over the place, and not just with her fellow grand-squarers, but she makes a great trine to that wild one, Uranus, and she will sidle up to Big Boy Jupiter, and share the limelight there with a conjunction. Since there is a Smorgasbord of aspects, every variety and flavor, there is no ONE theme, but I do think that whatever your chart or circumstances, you will feel Sunday as intense, so take your B vitamins!
Anyway, Luna is actually not the big Astro-News this weekend, it is that Mercury will enter a complimentary sign of Aquarius (Merc loves Air signs—‘cause its natural ‘Ruler’ is Gemini, an air sign!) and under usual circumstances we would all be treated to some (uncustomary) mental collective clarity, with a heavy dose of Social Concern, spawning Logical actions. However, you all recall that Neptune, the planet of Illusions and Deceptions (among so many other things) is in Aquarius, so we will most likely just get the same old ‘Spin’ with the same old ‘Blah’ and so on. (If you, like me, watch the Sunday News shows!)
Still, individually speaking, this can be a great time to (each of us personally) work with our Visions (Aquarius is the sign of Ideals and Collective Vision) and put a ‘plan’ (Aquarius is a FIXED sign, and they love ‘plans’) into place!
Since my Vision is to be ‘on time’ for work today, I’m outa here—remember: Have FUN under EVERY aspect—they're just planets and you're the creator of your life! (Practicing Mercury in Aquarius)!

Moon in Libra
Moon in Libra sextile Saturn in Leo @ 7:53 a.m.
I was riding my delete button like a cable car this morning, the politics of the last 24 hours being 'otta the park', (Gonzoles dismissing Bush for spying, Google being pushed to release their information about our internet habits, and of course, our old buddy Bin Laden & his diffunctional relationship with W and how that might affect us) but hey, don't get me started. I got no where over and over again, and then I finally just burned my self out and let it all go.
You know though, I think it is all just my liver. That flu left it rather fragile, and you know when your liver is off, you are more likely to tirade. You would have gasped if I hadn’t deleted. So, it is obvious that I can not be trusted to write of politics, (Libra is the sign of War and Peace the US’s Saturn, and W’s Moon!) so I will say a few words about another expression of Libra—the arts!!!
I was at a wonderful little art opening the other night at—ta da—Sonoma’s Public Library! Guess who was showing their collages there, upon request of La Bibliothèque? Yes, yes, Cardinal Star System’s own—the Magnificent Audrey Von Hawley!!
A really good time was had by all, her work is absolutely beautiful, and what better place could you think to be than at the Library? (Be careful though, spies are ALL OVER the libraries!) Her show will be available for public enjoyment all through February, treat yourself!
One more ‘sweet’ Libra thing to mention is there are newly posted HAPPY events in the Good To Know section of C Star S (under Special Features) and they appear as well in Referrals, “Events” section. They are about workshops with Yoga and Art, which are also Libra ruled stuff. These events (Feb & March, I believe) are great ways to combat the angst of the times. Maybe I should go, eh?
Anyway, whatever state your Liver is in, or however you feel about national security (or the lack of it) it’s still FRIDAY, and that makes me happy. There’s a glass of champagne waiting for me at the end of my day, and that is enough for me (and my liver). Enjoy your day!

Moon in Virgo, goes Void @ 2:12 p.m. Enters Libra @ 2:40 p.m.
Moon in Virgo trine Mercury in Capricorn @ 3:31 a.m.
Moon in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius @ 5:45 a.m.
Moon in Virgo trine Sun in Capricorn @ 2:12 P.M.
Sun enters Aquarius @ 9:16 p.m.
Such a star day!
The Sun and the Moon, our great Celestial ‘parents’, are traveling in a perfect ‘trine’ today. They begin their day at the edge of the element of Earth. Luna, at the far degrees of our mutable earth sign, Virgo, and Sol completing his month’s stay in the Cardinal (first) sign of Winter—Capricorn! They ‘kiss’ (well, it sure seems like that) at exactly 2:12 p.m., then they pull apart.
Luna, always in a hurry, moves first into the next element, which is air. Air always follows earth, water follows air, and fire follows water—and then back to the earth again. It’s so good to have an order you can count on in this Galaxy.
At 9:16 this night, Sol has completed 1/12th of his journey around—again—and he enters Aquarius, the second sign in the Season of Winter, the season of the Warrior.
The second month of any season is always a fixed sign. Remember, there are three months per season, one element short of a whole package—and we, ourselves must supply the ‘missing element’. There are four fixed signs, and each takes a turn each season. This season’s fixed sign is Aquarius, which is fixed air! Interesting concept, eh? What is fixed air?! How do you ‘catch the wind’ (shades of Donovan) This may explain some of the dichotomy that Aquarius’s have within themselves. They crave, actually demand freedom, (Air) but they desperately need security! (Fixed) They are the classic, “Catch 22” sign, and there is always a struggle within. What’s it all about? Well, that is an Aquarius’s life Köan, but if that weren’t enough of a life question, you have the aspects that are au courant!
The aspects, you recall Grasshoppers, include a grand fixed square for our Aquarian buddies to wade through, so just how might that effect their little air-pouring selves this year? (Hint: sing “I Gotta be Me”) and how do they put that together with all of the forces of the Galaxy raging agin’ em--like Saturn square Jupiter square Mars square Neptune? Not to mention that, but how do they even know what ‘me’ is? Well, stay tuned. These aspects, are just what the 'fixed' Aquarius needs in order to take the fast-track to enlightenment—as fixed signs, they are wont to 'get stuck', and even though they're AIR, I never think, FAST with Aquarius, they get stuck in caution! (Not that caution is a bad thing, it's just not a final destination!!!)
Still, when looking for our ‘identity’, we must always follow our hearts, as our truest self is only there. (Saw it in a Fortune Cookie….) and remember, to help us with this task, we must look to the Missing Element, which in Winter, is FIRE! So we look to the qualities of fire.Fire is passion, and fire is spirit! Aquarius, just what is it that turns you on? What warms you up? Look there, that is where you start your journey to find the energy needed to ‘redesign’ your lives, which will then include the parts of life that until now might have been missing.
So, all that said, Aquarius—under any circumstances, this year is a very BIG year for you! It’s a turning point, a time to re-define just what you stand for, and to make choices that align your life with those beliefs
If a magic Genii said you could be or have anything, what would it be? This year’s aspects are designed to push you past your hesitations right into permission to find a way to ‘be real’—by returning Aquarius to the “Prime Directive” : Freedom!!!
Never forget: There are two kinds of freedom, free from and free to. First with the grand squares, getting free from beliefs and situations that chain you, then with Neptune in your Sun sign, being free to help you design the most authentic version of your self that you have ever been!
Follow your Celestial helpers this year, Aquarius, and you will have a very Happy Birthday, indeed!

Twas the flu, Grasshoppers, that is the reason why I have not been here with you in the mornings lately. The first thing to go when I’m sick is my wit. Trying to make sense of life or the Daily Stars, has been beyond the level of my capability, under flu circumstances.
Returning, I look at the news and realize that although I have missed an execution, (a fresh blood sacrifice for the Dark side) the first “Supremes” decision since John Roberts took his chair (he voted the Bush party line, surprise, surprise) and various events (including the celebration of one of our great Visionaries—who spoke that famous visionary phrase, “I have a dream” , Happy ‘Belated’, Martin Luther….) well, nothing has changed since this flu decided I should take some time off from observing and commenting on ‘collective concerns’. Back, I find that it’s business as usual—with one exception—a news story that has been of some interest to Star-watching Grasshoppers—NASA has launched a fact-finding ‘archeological’ expedition to Pluto!!!
It’s truly amazing to me that the same species that brought us GW Bush, also created NASA scientists—we are diverse, I’ll give us that!
Pluto, the most remote outpost on the edge of our solar system (although a recently discovered ‘other body’ in space is now rivaling its title as the final frontier) is the last planet that Astrologers include, officially, in the line-up of influences affecting our birth charts. (Asteroids, comets, and Space debris notwithstanding).
In myth, the God of the Underworld holds court over the Land of the Dead. What is the Land of the Dead? It’s a place of complete mystery. I guess any place from which no one ever returns will make it a place of curiosity and no small amount of fear. Still, anyone who’s anyone will wind up there—so maybe there are ‘clues’ on this remote planet, that will help us see what this journey to the Underworld may be holding for us Earthlings! Ha! Especially if our space ship arrives there and then returns to us again!!! Well, we won’t find out till 1015-ish or so. Or when we die, if it comes sooner… (I’ll wait, if I can!)
Anyway, the flu is starting to talk again, so I will post this so you will know that I am still here in the Land of the Living. Oh, yeah, and it’s the Mars square Neptune aspect that is the kicker—so do your anti-flu dance, it’s an aspect that makes us sensitive and susceptible!

You can see that as I write this Dujour (on Saturday morning) our Luna is Void in Cancer, and it appears, so am I. Been a week, n’est pas?
The big events in DC knocked me out, but the gift of Friday 13 filled me up—and that’s the way it is here on Terre Firma, a melodious dance of peaks and valleys.
This weekend takes a turn when Luna leaves her home base in Cancer to the big party scene in Leo.
Leo-Ville can be intense just by itself but remember, as one of the four fixed signs, right now it is The Spot in the Zodiac where all of the action is! Check out our Daily Stars and you will see Luna’s conjunctions (w/Saturn!) and oppositions (Jupiter) and squares (Mars & Neptune) abound--she’s a busy girl! How will that affect our Sunday?
Well, if you are used to zoning out in front of the T.V., you may find your day interrupted with unscheduled events—hopefully not weather-influenced! More than likely, there will be company calling—or a party invitation, or an intense conversation with someone—your mom, your mate, your kids… (gulp)…well, it’s always something….!
Lay low if you can, and try to guide this dynamic energy to positive (at least exciting or fun) use in your life…remember, energy is just energy—whether it powers a city, or electrocutes someone, it’s all in how the energy is channeled.
Directing energy is the key to power--guide the ‘flow’, and then ride the current!

We labored and toiled all week this week—you, hanging in there with my, “It’s the End of the World” reverie, and me feeling like it was the end of the world. It might be, but before it ends, our gorgeous solar system has a treat for us. Today, you see, is the day of The Goddess. It is Friday (Venus day) the 13th (Moon number). We have had this discussion before, so I will not tax my long time readers with too long a tale, but newcomers—this is a sacred day for The Goddess!
In days of yore, when Venus day and Moon day came together a few times a year, it was the custom to stop work and make love all day, as a tribute to The Goddess! I know, it is difficult explaining this custom to your boss (unless you are sweet on the boss) but do what you can with it—and it IS Friday night tonight!
Anyway, beyond this tradition, you have today’s aspects, and they are generous in the Yin, or emotional department, just perfect for a day in service to The Goddess of Love.
Mercury is in receptive Capricorn, and although Cap’s thoughts can, at times, lean a bit to the negative side, when they are up and open, NO ONE has a better imagination! Today’s magic day has Mercury in trine to Mars, the can-do-power-house planet, who has been traveling (since July) through the receptive, yin sign of Taurus. This is a creative, energetic, and imaginative aspect, it should give us all a boost—it’s a great one to use for creating magic, which is a state of non-ordinary awareness with a conscious intent! (Which means having a BIG goal or desire, and using positive mind to achieve it!)
In fact, there are trines and sextiles galore today, and they all will help our magical mind. Luna in her water home of Cancer has just trined Uranus (It was exact yesterday, but the stardust trail of trine is still in the air) and today she will trine big, dynamic Jupiter! Joining this dynamic will be her do-wah, Sextile Girls,: Mercury sextile Luna and Mars sextile Luna—to back her up with this melody of love that she will sing today. Of course intensifying this grand configuration, is the fact that Luna will be FULL, not officially until tomorrow, but it will be at 1:48 a.m., so the energy of this full moon will be felt the strongest tonight!
Okay, perhaps I’m a bit over the top today. You know, it is just as hard on me to write my fearful, complaining wailing about my political concerns as it is for you to read them. That’s why I am having such a great time with my favorite topics, which are love, the planets and The Goddess…so bear with me!
Now for the Piece d’la resistance; Venus, our lovely star of the day, who has been traveling through the winter sign of Capricorn, today heats up! On her special day today, Friday, Freya’s day, she conjuncts the Sun!!
This is an auspicious blend of energies, it is creative, it is sympathetic, it is playful, and this is good.
What will that mean on Capitol Hill? I won’t even look! I’m taking the day off to think in a positive light. The sky is beautiful and the air smells clean and fresh. Birds are soaring overhead; I’m just going to be in the moment.
Isn’t that what love is? It is a state of presence—all parts of us meet, our hearts open and we are fearless!
Thank you Luna and The Goddess—we end this challenging week on a note of hope and heart! Now get out there and celebrate those Deities, Grasshoppers, and have a great time when you do!

Daily Stars
Moon enters Cancer @ 2:50 a.m.
Moon in Cancer trine Uranus in Pisces @ 6:43 p.m.
Luna has returned “home” to her ruling sign, the sign of Cancer today. She is seeking rest and the illusion of security—good luck! Security is not easily come by as of late, but that may be a good thing. Perhaps the anxiety of The Times is helping us to break through our mass hypnosis and look squarely at the fragility and immediacy of our lives. That just may be the only way to really BE in The Now—well, that’s the object of The Game, isn’t it?
Anyway, there is one aspect of exact ‘connect’ today, and it is the supportive trine. Luna will trine Uranus, that exciting rebel-rouser. What this usually brings is energy of creative ease—I wonder what it will mean in the Senate hearings? Let’s watch!
Will the Moon/Uranus trine give our interrogators the cleverness to ask questions that will prompt Alito to reveal his true beliefs? (Uranus is all about clever!) Or will today’s trine be an enabler, which is actually the way of a trine—the desire to ‘make nice’. In that case will we see our Senators back-pedal to distance themselves from yesterday’s confrontive questioning? We’ll see—stay tuned, today will tell a tale of this aspect, since it is the ONE that is front and center!
By the way, do you all wonder why this is such a big deal to me? Well, it is because if Alito is our last ‘bastion’ of defense for the protection of our rights, and his personal beliefs are such that he believes that our rights should be limited (like a woman’s right to choose, or a person’s right to sue a corporation, or an immigrants’ right to a trial, or a country full of people’s right to not be spied on by the president, or a country’s right to expect their president to be accountable to the law of the land, not the law of kings, just to name a few) then shouldn’t we get to know about that? And by the way, if his beliefs are whatever they are, why WOULDN’T he be proud to talk about them? WHY would he seek to hide them? I’m a LIBERAL (just in case you never noticed) and I’m very proud to say that. It means that I strive to be open-minded to other people’s ideas, values and choices. Alito seeks to hide his beliefs because if everyone knew what that meant to them, they would not be so sympathetic to his petition to hold this seat on the bench for the rest of his life!!!!
By the way, he is most DEFINITELY allowed to his opinions and his choices. That’s what the Bill of Rights (that G**d**m piece of paper, as our ‘president’ has said) now guarantees. If he wants women to do what he says, well—he has a wife and a daughter, he can be All Controlling to them. It’s just, well, what if I don’t want to wear Saran Wrap and ask him for permission to speak? Anyway, I tremble. I really do NOT look good in Saran Wrap. (You young ones probably don’t remember that reference—just as well)
Anyway, about that Uranus/Moon trine (long way around again, sorry)….this is what Astrologers do, Grasshoppers—they watch the aspects and see what happens. That way, the next time that aspect appears again, they have a reference point. They make note of it. THEN, when it happens a THIRD time, they compare results and can start to see a theme. THEN when it happens (or doesn’t happen) a 100th time, they actually have an opinion!! Then, they get older and forget everything, and are left with a ‘gut feeling’, which is actually memory distilled. (How’d ya like THAT spin?)
What’s my gut telling me? We’re in for a ride. Well, it’s back to those Interesting Times thing again. And by the way, to those of you who wrote in to share your concerns, too, thank you so much! It is totally true, I can assure you. Misery DOES love company—I love that you have all come along for the ride, it wouldn’t be any fun at all without you!

“Your conversations and interactions take on an intensity that you normally wouldn’t expect from casual encounters. You or another person may reveal something very personal and private or bring up deep topics that are rarely discussed. Very strong views bordering on the fanatical, or thoughts expressed with a lot of emotion may stir up resistance. You can be keenly insightful now, but beware of forcing any agenda on those around you. Wear soothing, cool colors now, like blue or lavender, and avoid red!”
I was having a heckava time with Dujour today. I was in such a tirade about Alito & The Cons yesterday, and it looks like (once again) my team is not going to win. It’s like being for the “Bad News Bears” in the beginning, before they got ‘ringers’ and started to win. Very discouraging.
That said, I just didn’t have any words for today. I didn’t want to sour grape it, but I couldn’t ‘fluff’ it, either. I have been sitting at this desk since 6:30 am….blank as can be (not even a delete to my name) when I thought—heck, I will see just what’s in my OWN chart today!
In my Cardinal Star System reports, there is a transit program called, “Starlight Solutions” and it gives you a day by day. I scrolled mine up for the day, and the little paragraph that I began today’s Dujour with came popping up to the surface. Wow. So true. So sorry to be so pushy…it’s hard to ‘see’ what I consider to be a disaster waiting to happen, and not freak out. Bottom line: The Future is a mystery, all we can do is the best we can, and try not to push our ideas on other people. Sigh. Now, if we can get the “N. Cons” to do that too, we’ll have—well, America as it was written in the Constitution!
(Oops, there goes that opinion again!) Keep an open mind, be fair, and have a fun Wednesday!
Hey, big P.S.!!
Just as I was finishing up my little daily blurb, Pam sent over a message from The Andromeda Guides…so encouraging!!! Click to As the Spirit Moves Me by Pam Burns Clair, I don’t feel so alone any more!

Daily Stars
Moon in Gemini
Moon in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces @ 9:09 a.m.
Moon in Gemini sextile Saturn in Leo @ 11:16 a.m.
It’s the second day of the Gemini Moon watch, and the second day of the Alito hearings. The country waits to see if ‘We the People’ will be anything but an old, tired catch phrase, ‘cause if Alito is confirmed, well—there goes The Neighborhood—and this time, it’s for real!
All ranting aside (and I have been on this computer ranting for hours, with more deletes than you can even imagine!) I have grave concerns. There is an illustration, taken from the recent news that points out the power of Alito on the bench.
You know Alito is a Corporate Man, right? Recently, we watched a town be torn apart by a mining cave-in. Yes, Mother Nature again—or IS it? Well, it turns out that Bill Clinton instigated strong safety checks on mining and other federally regulated fuel-gathering facilities. The minute Bush got in, he dropped them!!! Within one month of taking office, W let the safety regulations go by stopping prohibitive fines, unscheduled safety checks, and any governmental oversight. He basically gave the corporations a blank check with no responsibility or obligation to create a safe working environment, or any restrictions regarding the ecological impact on the surrounding area.
When Alito is confirmed, the last stop to check these responsibilities with the court system is gone. If the mining company comes up for review, and a Corporate man is deciding what to do, well, you can imagine what will happen---nothing!!! There will be No Justice--unless you are a company owner!
Here’s another interesting one. Diebold. Remember the voting machines in Ohio and Florida? They’re the ones where the outcomes did not match the exit polls, remember? Well, the corporate head of Diebold told Bush, “I will deliver the vote to you”. His little double entendre during elections was especially scary since he designed and installed the voting machines--and it turned out he was true to his word! A very interesting fact, not reported in the ‘Liberal Media’ ha ha, is that when they found ‘mistakes’ in the voting records (i.e. when you vote Kerry, you actually SEE it come up as Bush) NOT ONE VOTE erred on the side of the Democrats!!!! Do you know the odds on that?
NO ODDS—it couldn’t happen if it was just bugs in the machine!!!
Okay, what’s this got to do with anything? Well, W. is having a hay-day. It doesn’t matter if he gets caught, once his guy is on the bench—he will get off SCOTT FREE, no matter WHAT!!!
Except—I just remembered—W will leave his protective ‘Dacha’ a Vedic Astrology term for a period of time, ruled by a certain planet—in May of 2006! If I ever wished Astrology were true, it is now! What can this mean if W stacks the court? Well, these are not Interesting Times for nothing!! Stay tuned! By the Way…. this was all written during a Moon/Uranus square, and I suppose you can tell. Uranus is the sign of the Revolutionary, remember? All we can do is phone/email our Representatives, so let’s get to it! Power to the People—while we still legally HAVE it!!

Moon in Taurus goes Void @ 10:56 a.m. Enters Gemini @ 5:58 p.m.
Moon in Taurus trine Venus in Capricorn @ 10:56 a.m.
Luna is mellow today, this morning only making one aspect, a languishing trine to her fellow hedonist Venus and then she’s off to Void. She sails unimpeded until this evening when she lands at the ever-active ‘port’ of Gemini—and ya never know WHAT will happen when she gets there, so let’s all take advantage of the ease while we HAVE it!
You remember our previous star-watching, do you not, Grasshoppers? We have noticed that when the Moon is traveling through the Gemini ‘turf’, here in the USA, there are things we go through. Ur, like hurricanes, floods (Katrina, Rita & Wilma) and terrorist attacks (9-11 was a Gemini Moon) oh my!
Now to be fair, there are far many more returns to Gemini that have been uneventful transits than these unusual catastrophes, but Washington is loaded up with so much drama these days, it is all set up for The Perfect Storm.
You see, it is the chart of the USA that has such an active link to Gemini—in the USA’s chart, our collective MARS, God of War and the force of ‘Yang’ (masculine, assertive, competitive) is in the 7th house of The People, so we are often challenged by this transit, whether it is weather or whether it is politics. Although the Moon hits Gemini tonight, the Mars in the USA’s chart is late Gemini (21 degrees) so tomorrow and Wednesday will be the exact time of this aspect.
It is interesting times on the hill (Washington D.C.) and my guess for this Gemini transit, we will most likely be treated with fascinating stories of the escapades of Abramoff & Delay and Alito… Anyway, it’s hard to tell what will specifically happen, but I am on a Gemini Moon Watch, and I thought I would bring you all along. Conjunctions to Mars in the 7th house are all about ‘rallying’ The People, so will we be rallied or riled? Stay tuned!

Luna leaves her sparkly fire zone and enters the can-do quadrant of the zodiac, our first Earth sign, Taurus. Thing is, as a fixed sign, with so many planets in fixed locations these days just waiting to interact with any visitor, getting things done may be easier said than done!
Why, you say? It’s DISTRACTION, my dears!
When there is as much activity among the planets, here on Earth we feel overwhelmed by this tightly-wired Celestial Energy Grid. We tend to start many projects but are easily distracted by the volume of competing emotions, thoughts and duties that need our attention.
Let’s just set an easy schedule for ourselves today, after all, it IS the weekend, and with all of the activity and variety of experience, let’s decide to just enjoy the excitement and not expect tangible results. Whew! Now we can have fun!

Moon in Aries
Moon in Aries sextile Neptune in Aquarius @ 10:41 a.m.
Moon in Aries square Sun in Capricorn @ 10:56 a.m.
I can always tell when it is a Quarter Moon. I put off writing Dujour, and find myself scrubbing and organizing some obscure cupboard under the sink instead—it’s a workin’ aspect!
Today at 10:56 a.m. the Sun and Moon are in ‘square’ to each other, both traveling in a cardinal sign—Aries for Luna, and Capricorn for Old Sol.
Do not forget that the word cardinal means ‘first’ and these are the first signs of each new season, and there is a natural energy to them—they haven’t worn out yet! These particular four angles of the Sun and the Moon are the cardinal grand square, and this is the angle (happens each time the Sun is in Cardinal—Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) is said to give us more energy, ambition and clarity, as this is the sun/moon angle of beginnings! The four cardinal moons are the ‘turning point’.
Now, we are ALWAYS talking about ‘beginnings’—new moon, cardinal signs, planets entering new territory—get my drift? There are infinite chances to begin anew and to make changes—we are NEVER sentenced to continue as is, with patterns (of thought) that do not serve us. The Universe (almost daily) from many, many sources, gives us a boost to begin again, initiate, and launch that which is more aligned with our ever-changing selves (For example, did you know that all of your stomach cells are replaced daily?)
From personal experience, know that beginnings are all about awareness. Notice your thoughts, and don’t tell yourself stuff that depresses or disappoints yourself, and you will have renewed energy! We live with ourselves, we are stuck with us. Let us start a pattern of pleasure with our own company, and we will begin the best relationship we ever had!
All that on a Friday, which is an end day, but 'owned' by Venus and therefore a GREAT day to begin a love affair--with you-know-who...! Enjoy this Friday, Goddess of Love’s own day, by loving and appreciating your own self!

Moon in Pisces goes Void @ 4:10 a.m. Enters Aries @ 6:44 a.m.
Moon in Pisces sextile Venus in Capricorn @ 4:10 a.m.
Moon in Aries square Mercury in Capricorn @ 11:44 a.m.
Moon in Aries trine Saturn in Leo @ 11:10 p.m.
In the wee hours of the morning, the baton is passed from watery Pisces to fiery Aries, and we’re off and running!
It’s a very Cardinal Day, folks, and that means—get to it!
As I look out from my window here in Brigadoon (er, Sonoma, but it's another fairy land though, n’est pas?) there is fire in the sky! Okay, okay, it’s that the sun is out—but it’s been a while since I started the day with sunshine, so I will wax poetic for a few minutes, as this phenomenon lightens my perspective so completely!
Now, not all of these Cardinal aspects will be smooth and easy, after all, there is a Moon/Mercury square afoot at high noon, but I actually think that that aspect will be helpful in accomplishing any goals set forth. This aspect lends us discipline and the ability to do what must be done without dwelling on how we might feel about those tasks. From noon until 11:00 tonight, the day will have a Moon trine Saturn to use, both fire, working together, and that is a goal accomplishing, spirit enhancing energy grid—all helpful for tasks that need to be accomplished, or if you have a mellow day ahead, it gives you the boost to do your day with a ‘whistle’!
All optimistic, and I know that The Universe is Personal, and there are many who are dealing with this day in struggle, but even in the darkest times, a Moon/Saturn trine in fire can remind us of the Only Truth.
That truth is that We are All One, and that Everything is All Right, since what is really real is not known to us.
See, that’s fire at work--flame on!

When I say I’m blank, I really mean BLANK!
Tried to write, riding on the delete button again. Let me just say this:
With Luna in Pisces connecting with all of those planets in Yin signs (Scorpio, Taurus and Capricorn) there are emotions a-plenty swooshing around in our minds and hearts today. I’m laying low, re-grouping and ‘Om-ing’ my way back to balance. (Detoxing? Painful news stories? Those men in the mine! Uranus- Moon conjunct—first UP they’re alive, then DOWN it was false information!) Too much for me….I will be re-balanced by tomorrow, I swear, breathe, Om, clean, drink water, don’t eat that, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Oh, happy day—if you are a repenter, dieter, house-cleaning-seasonal-decoration-changer, have I got a day for you! All aspects today are ‘scored’ for change and (even) that valuable, golden quality of ‘discipline’.
Yes, yes, remember Grasshoppers that discipline means, ‘disciple of the self’, and that means what we set forth unto ourselves as the new Rule of the Land, we are able to do. THAT is usually the first thing I don’t do (rebel, you know) but of course this is not in my own best interest.
Today, to assist us All in with our New Year’s convictions, the Universal Powers-that-Be have tossed us mortals a heckeva ‘bone’. Actually, a couple of bones.
First, our monthly (like clockwork, once a moon, 13 X’s a year for 7 years) return of our moon to Pisces, will begin during the middle of the night @ 4:43 a.m. In Pisces,
